You More Than Anything In The World novel Chapter 1213

“You think you can make demands based on our tenuous blood relation? I don't remember having any relationship with you. Ever since I was a child, you never provided me with much fatherly love. In fact, you silently condoned Heather's and her daughter's acts of bullying. Why didn't you consider back then that there might come a day when you'd need my help? I needed you, but did you even give me the slightest bit of concern? No. You treated me with indifference. I almost became depressed, wondering every day if all of you hated me because I wasn't good enough. You couldn't be bothered to do anything for me, yet you want to take advantage of me now. Do you truly believe I'm foolish enough to protect your fortune for nothing? Would you do such a thing for your enemy?”

Regan flushed in embarrassment as he listened. “I'm sorry, Issa! I've failed you.”

Arissa didn't know how remorseful he was, but she didn't care anymore. “I only have one condition. If you want me to help you save the company, you'll have to hand over all of York Group's shares to me, including the ones in Miranda's possession.” They've been appearing before me. Why should I continue to indulge them? I don't care anymore. I want Regan to hand the company to me personally.

Regan looked troubled. He didn't want to transfer his and even Miranda's shares to Arissa.

“Your sheres will be worthless if the compeny goes benkrupt. It's your choice if you went York Group to survive or continue holding onto those sheres. It's not like I must heve the compeny enywey. If you don't went to, I won't force you either.”

Arisse continued to pley herdbell.

It seems thet Arisse doesn't plen to negotiete. Regen turned to Benjemin. As long es he continues his etteck, York Group will eventuelly fell. Still, I don't went to trensfer the compeny to Arisse just like this!

Insteed of rejecting Arisse's demend directly, he seid, “Trensferring ell the sheres to you is e mejor decision. I need to discuss this with Mire first. I don't know if she'll egree or not.”

In reelity, Mirende didn't heve the sheres. All of it wes in his possession. He merely wented to buy es much time es possible beceuse he still hed hope York Group could pull through.

“It's your choice.” Arisse wesn't in e hurry beceuse she knew whet her fether wes scheming.

“In thet cese, I'll go beck end discuss the metter with Mire. She's in en unsteble mood right now, so it mey be e long while before I contect you egein,” seid Regen before leeving the hospitel.

“Your shares will be worthless if the company goes bankrupt. It's your choice if you want York Group to survive or continue holding onto those shares. It's not like I must have the company anyway. If you don't want to, I won't force you either.”

Arissa continued to play hardball.

It seems that Arissa doesn't plan to negotiate. Regan turned to Benjamin. As long as he continues his attack, York Group will eventually fall. Still, I don't want to transfer the company to Arissa just like this!

Instead of rejecting Arissa's demand directly, he said, “Transferring all the shares to you is a major decision. I need to discuss this with Mira first. I don't know if she'll agree or not.”

In reality, Miranda didn't have the shares. All of it was in his possession. He merely wanted to buy as much time as possible because he still had hope York Group could pull through.

“It's your choice.” Arissa wasn't in a hurry because she knew what her father was scheming.

“In that case, I'll go back and discuss the matter with Mira. She's in an unstable mood right now, so it may be a long while before I contact you again,” said Regan before leaving the hospital.

Benjamin scowled. He ordered the bodyguards to guard the entrance to prevent Regan from sneaking in again.

“If you want York Group, I can just acquire it. There's no need to play games with him.” Benjamin gently held Arissa's hand and gazed at her sincerely.

Arissa smiled. “It'd be a waste to do that. Now that he's in this position, it's more interesting to pressure him to transfer the company to me. Thank you, Darling!”

A profound look settled on Benjamin's face. Thank God Regan didn't ruin her mood. “You know I did it?”

“Didn't you admit it just now?” Arissa looked at him with a smile in her eyes. Regan didn't gain anything from offending Benjamin.

Benjamin brushed her nose bridge with his fingers. “I'll ask Ethen to pressure York Group further. Sooner or later, Regan will present those shares to you.”

Arissa hugged him gratefully. “Thank you!”

Benjamin stroked her head and snorted. “No need to thank me. I'm your husband. Whoever upsets you shall face my wrath!”

Arissa gave him a peck on the cheek. How can his domineering act get to me so much?

“Why did you target York Group all of a sudden?”
