You're The Best Medicine For Me novel Chapter 123

She could also go find her daddy immediately in case Ruben Koch’s entire family bullied her mommy.

However, she was still a little scared of Ruben’s family, since his mother was so mean to her yesterday.

When Jacob Thomas saw that she was frightened and scared, he lowered his head and muttered, “Idiot.”

Shirley Thomas glared at Jacob, “Emma is a girl, so it’s normal for her to be afraid like this. Don’t talk to her like that.”

Afterwards, Jacob turned towards Emma Thomas and said, “Don’t be afraid, sister. There are a lot of security guards outside. Also, this is our territory. If they dared to come here to apologize to us, then it also means that they wouldn’t dare do anything to us.”

Shirley was very satisfied with what her son said. She nodded, “Your brother is right. They are the ones who hit us, so they should be the one to apologize to you and your brother.”

“Then, can I call daddy to come over?” Ruben’s mom was afraid of her daddy, so she would feel safer with her daddy here.

Shirley raised her hand to rub her nose bridge. Then, she walked towards Emma, got down, and hugged her. She said, “Last night, he let mommy take a day off. I think he didn’t sleep for a whole night yesterday. Do you think we should still bother him?”

“Oh, is that it? So, mommy was sleeping with us last night?” Emma blinked her huge eyes.

Jacob cursed again in a low voice, “Idiot, you wet the bed last night. It was mommy who got up and changed your pants.”

“Ah! I didn’t wet the bed!” Emma blushed and immediately covered her crotch area.

In Shirley’s eyes, she looked just like a little duckling that made a mistake. She was incredibly cute.

She fixed Emma’s clothes and said, “Anyway, mommy’s here, so you don’t have to be afraid.”

She held Emma and Jacob’s hands, and they walked out of the bedroom to the lobby on the first floor together.

As they walked into the lobby, they really saw a family of three.

Dahlia Koch wore a floral dress paired with a black coat and combed her hair into a bun.

On the other hand, Mr. Koch wore a suit and leather shoes. He had a big body and a cleanly shaved head.

Between them sat a kid who was about the same age as Jacob.

The entire Koch family immediately stood up from the sofa and politely smiled as soon as they saw Shirley come inside with the kids.

Dahlia would glance behind Shirley from time to time. Though she soon realized that the man who went to school yesterday didn’t show up, she was already very terrified.

Shirley took her two kids and sat opposite them. Then, she turned to Daisy and said, “Daisy, please bring another pot of tea and some snacks as well.”

Dahlia was startled, so she immediately declined, “No, there is no need for that, Madam Moore. We came here today for the matter about Ruben.”

Mr. Koch quickly added, “Yes, yes. My child wasn’t properly taught. I can’t believe he actually hit people. That’s why I came here to check up on you. How are the two kids? Are they alright? Did you check up with a doctor already?”

When Shirley heard Dahlia call her Madam Moore, she was secretly shocked. She immediately denied, “Please don’t call me Madam Moore, I...”

“Madam Moore, I sincerely apologize to you, your two kids and Mr. Moore as well for what happened yesterday. I did not teach Ruben well. I promise you that this will not happen again.” Not long after Dahlia sat down, she pulled her son up and bowed down deeply as she put her palm behind his head.

As he was being pressed to bend down, Ruben’s tears flowed down his face. However, he didn’t dare let out a sound.

When he went home yesterday, his father learned that he fought with someone he shouldn’t. So he was straight up beaten and scolded harshly by his father.

Dahlia pulled Ruben back and sat on the sofa. Mr. Koch also slowly sat down.

Shirley looked at Ruben and said, “He is your child. As an outsider, there are some things that are not for me to say. But I have to say it now that my child is involved.”

Afterwards, she lifted Jacob down from the sofa. Then, she lifted his clothes and showed Jacob’s wounds to Mr. and Mrs. Koch.

When Mr. and Mrs. Koch saw this, she was shocked once again.

They suddenly felt that Bryan Moore went too easy on them.

Mr. Koch immediately pulled Ruben’s arm, slapped Ruben’s butt harshly, and scolded him, “Look at what you’ve done. Didn’t I teach you not to take other people’s things and not to hit the other little kids? And you, you are the one who spoiled our son. Look at how badly he beat other people up. I’ll just beat you to death today.”

Ruben immediately cried.

Shirley frowned and shouted, “Mr. Koch, stop beating him.”

Dahlia forcibly pulled her son into her arms, and they cried together. Mr. Koch put his hands on his hips with worry all written over his face.

If they didn’t properly resolve this matter, then they wouldn’t be able to do business here in the future.

The people they offended were from the Moore Family of the City L.

“Mr. Koch, the reason why I let you see the wounds on my child was not for you to beat up your child. According to my two kids, Ruben always takes things from the other children in school. If he didn’t get it, he would abuse and beat them. He thinks that everything in the school belongs to him and only him. Forgive me for saying this, but Ruben’s attitude isn’t normal. As his parents, you shouldn’t scold and beat him. Instead, you should properly teach him.”

“Sometimes, scolding and beating may be effective in that moment, but it can easily leave a psychological trauma on the child which can make them violent. Most behaviors of a child are not formed by themselves. They are often influenced by the environment they live in. As his parents, you should set an example for your child.”
