The dose of the anesthetic wasn’t high. After lying in the side hall for a while, Yu Wenhao slowly woke up.
Yuan Qingling was sitting beside him, and she had dismissed all the servants. The hall was very quiet at this moment.
His strong fingers clenched her neck and she could almost hardly breathe. He looked like a furious beast with flames of anger blazing in his eyes. "How dare you poison Grandpa?" He grifted his teeth and asked.
Yuan Qingling was forced to raise her head. Her face quickly flushed and her eyes were bloodshot. She said in grief, "Why don’t you look down?"
He felt a sting there. It was a needle piercing his thigh. The needle looked, attached to a small tube filled with fluid.
"You can strangle me, but before I die, you would be dead too. So why don’t you listen to me first?" Yuan Qingling managed to say. She refused to give in.
He finally let her go, but he was even madder than before. His handsome face was slightly distorted in fury, and he tried his best to hold it back.
"Tell me, what kind of poison did you use?" He never knew Yuan Qingling knew poison. He found himself underestimating her before.
Yuan Qingling removed the needle and grinned a bitter smile. "Do you really believe I’ve poisoned the Retired Emperor in the imperial palace? That would only get myself killed."
“Get to the point.” He said impatiently.
Yuan Qingling took a deep breath. "That's not poison. It's medicine. I was trying to save him."
Yu Wenhao sneered murderously, "What a surprise! I married a genius doctor."
He stood up and grabbed her hands. "Come, admit your crime to my father."
Yuan Qingling was dragged to the ground by him. She couldn't get away from his firm grip. She was dragged for a few steps. In a panic, she said, "Alright, I'll do it, but I’ll tell them Chu Mingcui told me to do so."
Yu Wenhao slapped her face hard and she had to turn away.
She took out the little box and opened it. Once it touched the ground, it automatically become bigger and shrank into the size of a matchbox when it was off the ground, which was really weird.
She gasped and checked the medicines inside.
There used to be medicines for trauma, but now all there was left was cardio medicines, including two bottles of Glyceryl Trinitrate (GTN).
That was odd. There was no GTN in her lab. The propranolol tablets and slice salvia tablets in this box, she didn’t have them in her lab either.
Now, all of them were placed on the bottom of the box, in order.
Even more ridiculously, there was a stethoscope!
Sitting on the ground, she blurted out a swear she had never said before, “It’s so f*cking weird.”
