Seeing the affectionate scene between the two in front of him, Sarah’s father wore an expression of contentment.
After dinner, Sarah’s father went to the study with Edward.
It was half an hour later when Edward finally came out, bidding Sarah farewell as he prepared to head home.
Sarah quickly stood up to see him off.
Even though it was their first meeting, she found herself reluctant to part from him.
However, she didn’t know how to express it, afraid that Edward might think she was an immodest girl.
Edward saw right through Sarah’s reluctance and hesitation.
He smiled softly and gently pulled her into his arms, rubbing her hand.
“See you tomorrow.”
Sarah’s eyes brightened immediately, looking up at him in surprise.
The smile in his eyes deepened, and he hugged her again before bending down to get into the car.
It wasn’t until Edward’s car was completely out of sight behind the thick gates that Sarah reluctantly turned around and headed back to the villa.
Outside the manor, Edward immediately spotted the Maybach parked in the distant corner.
The dark car windows kept him from seeing the expression of the person inside.
For the next month, Sarah and Edward’s relationship soared, while Daniel, urgently called back to the U.S. by a dozen phone calls, was swamped with issues.
Although Emily had been sent to prison, the people from the Adams family would occasionally cause trouble at the Foster family.
Daniel’s mother, who had always lived a life of luxury, had never experienced anything like this and was so stressed that she was sent to the hospital.
Even Daniel’s father, on his way to work, was directly targeted by the Adams family, who used their car to ram him
into the ICU.
Amid all these major issues, the Foster family’s stock began to plummet.
One problem after another had Daniel overwhelmed, and by the time he had finally managed to resolve everything and return to England,
he was struck with another shocking news that left him frozen in place for a long time.
