All his expectations fell apart. She had finally grown up, but he felt strangely unsettled. Just as he was about to help her pack, his eyes caught sight of the suitcase spread out on the floor and half–packed. His pupils shrank.
“Why are you already packing?”
Olivia didn’t lift her head, still calm, “I’ve told you many times already. I’m going home to get married.”
Hearing this, Joe’s heart sank, but he pressed his fingers to his forehead. “Stop making trouble. I’m really tired lately, Olivia. After everything’s settled, I’ll publicly announce our relationship, okay?”
At these words, Olivia finally looked at him.
She didn’t understand. He had always treated her like a substitute. Shouldn’t her getting married be exactly what he wanted?
According to his earlier words, wasn’t it just because he was afraid she couldn’t accept it that he didn’t bring up the breakup?
Now she had already come to terms with it. She could calmly let go of him and marry someone else. Why did he still refuse to believe it and wouldn’t let go?
Olivia couldn’t make sense of it and didn’t want to think anymore. She packed the last piece of clothing into the suitcase and silently pushed it toward the door.
“I’ll take you there.”
Joe’s car had already been parked outside the villa. Seeing her about to leave, he quickly ran over to take the suitcase from her, intending to put it in the trunk of his car.
She didn’t refuse. This time, let him take her to the airport personally.

Just as they were about to get in the car, his phone rang again. It was Sophia.
He hesitated for a moment but eventually walked away to answer the call.
When he returned, he simply flagged down a car, told the driver the destination, and then explained, “Olivia, I have something to take care of. I’ve arranged a new ride for you. I’ll join you later.”
Olivia looked at him calmly and nodded without saying anything.
Watching him walk away, disappearing into the traffic, she finally curled her lips.
Joe, you missed your last chance to know the truth.
She turned around and got into the waiting taxi. On her phone, she blocked all Joe’s contacts, then heard the driver
