Chapter 165: Present

-Present Time, a year after Hugh has become Demon King-

Hugh’s sword rose in the air blocking three simultaneous arrows headed straight for his face.

The bowsman covered in a dark cloak whispered, “damn it” to himself. He scampered off to the next building, all the while readying his bow for the next attack.

Hugh waved his hand signaling two of his men to go after the assailant on the roof.

Hugh ran off behind a building and down another alleyway. Three more of Hugh’s men followed close behind.

Just as Hugh was coming from a corner he turned around slicing the next arrow attack away from his backside.

The cloaked individual stood watching Hugh, loading his bow once more.

He seemed as though he was going to fire again but he heard the footsteps of Hugh’s men. He looked watching the men come closer.

He fired at them this time, though with a quick move to the side the arrow missed. The assailant made a sound of frustration and ran off to the next building.

He kept going further and further away till he suddenly dropped into a dark ally. He lost track of Hugh as well as the other men.

Out of breath, he stood with a hand against the wall.

Hugh silently took a step forward saying, “Tracking you took some time... Luke”...

Once noticed the cloaked individual fired a shot. Hugh easily knocked the shot out the way with his sword and walked forward.

The clocked individual that we now know as Luke, dropped the hood from over his head. With no hindrance of cloth, one could now see the golden locks, fair skin, and pointed ears of an Elf. The only thing that seemed to hinder his perfect complexion was a single scar crossing his right eye.
