Chapter 167: Present Part 3
The Elven man named Luke opened his eyes in a slow straining way. His hands and body which he tried moving, were tied up. All he could see were a few men in a room. One of them was polishing his sword and another was lying down with his hands behind his head.
One could tell the sun was up from the light drifting through the curtains. The window was slightly open to let in some fresh air.
“Oh look the Elf is waking up.”
The one on the bed turned and looked, however shortly after seeing him he turned back to his restful position.
As he got comfortable again, he spoke while closing his eyes.
“When I heard the rumors about this guy I expected more, I know Elves don’t age but I couldn’t respect someone as a leader who looked like an adolescent boy.”
The one polishing his sword laughed replying.
“True, true.”
He put down his sword and walked over to Elf on the ground.
“I could understand if his highness was the one in charge of the bandit organization, but this guy, never. Maybe he wore the cloak to cover his looks.?”
He grabbed his ropes and picked him up.
“Come on we have to take you to His Highness.”
The Elven bandit ruffled and growled almost like an animal. That might have been because he had a cloth restraining his mouth though.
The man opened the door and walked down the hall. The other person in the room followed close behind with a yawn.
He saw red walking down the hall as if about to go into Hugh's room.
“Hey Red, if you going to see His Highness take the Elf with you, he just woke up.”
Red: “Alright, I can take it from here, you two can get some rest, I know you guys were watching him all night.”
“Thanks.”
———-
Hugh: “I guess he’s awake.?”
Red: “Yea, I told Jasper and Jade to get some rest after they brought him.”
Red dropped the Elven bandit on the floor in front of Hugh. He cut the rope over his mouth and the ropes restraining his movement. But left his hands and feet tied.
Hugh walked from the window looking down at the sitting Elf.
Hugh: “Luke Rosewood, first a slave brought to the continent thirty years ago, then the leader of a large scale bandit organization. Now on my floor tied up.”
Hugh crouched, intrigued about the individual in front of him.
Hugh: “I think it’s amazing an Elf was even able to become such an influential figure in the Demon Continent. Even if it was in an underworld organization.”
Luke: “So what are you finally going to let me go.?”
