Chapter 32
\~Leon's POV\~
I walked out of the room, leaving Luna alone.
"Damn it."
"What wrong with me? Every part of me wants Luna, my heart aches, my body yearns to dominate her to make her completely mine. But I have to go and make her cry, I'm such an asshole."
I walked down the hallway my frustration and disappointment slowly dissipated and turned into a cool, blank persona, as I came up to my office.
I opened the door and saw Thomas standing there in the middle of the room.
He was holding some papers, his expression seemed anxious.
I walked to my desk and sat down after closing the door.
I looked out the window at the glowing town in front of the mansion.
After a minute I turned to Thomas and broke the utter silence.
"Have you made any preparations?"
"Yes, my lord I sent word to your vessel right when I heard the news. Your carriage will be ready whenever you are."
"Good. When will the events start?"
"To my knowledge in a few days, it's all in the letter on your desk."
I picked up the letter, it gave a basic run-through of the whole occasion, addressing when it will occur, where it's being held, and etc.
"I can't believe it's been five years already, it's gone by a little too fast for my taste."
"It certainly has, my lord, you've accomplished a lot during your short time governing this territory. But you shouldn't worry you still have many more years left."
I still had a slight concerned look on my face.
"Don't worry, my lord, your abilities are exceptional, I doubt you would lose to any challenger. Plus you rose very high in the ranks last time, that I doubt you'll have many competitors, let alone some that can surpass you."
I looked back out the window after Thomas started monologuing, once he starts he never stops.
"My lord, the competition isn't what you're worried about is it?"
He must have noticed my stern sympathetic expression as I stared off.
"I know it's not my place to say this, my lord, but does it so happen to pertain to Miss Luna?"
We locked eyes for a moment, he was right, my eyes somewhat hinted to him he was.
He had a wise smirk, the rest of his face matched that.
"Sigh. If that's all the information you were planning to tell me, please let yourself out."
"Alright, my lord I'll let myself out, but I do hope you compete well in the competition as well as, clears throat, nevermind."
He did a slight bow as usual and walked out of the room, shutting the door behind him.
