Chapter 88: So This is Her
-Luna's POV-
We walked out the carriage people bowed as we stepped out.
I was on Leon's arm as usual when entering a new area.
We walked along and people obviously looked at us.
Though I glanced at them regularly, Leon didn't seem to show any attention.
He just kept walking almost robotically to one of the larger tents.
It was at the center of the camp, people guarding it.
Though a man seemed to have noticed us and stepped out of the large tent.
Greeting us close to the front of the tent.
He was middle-aged, much like Thomas, his stubbled face and sharp looking demeanor almost reminded me of Jesse.
Though looking closely they both shared the same blue eyes and wavy hair as well.
Jesse was behind us and when turning back his expression matched the middle-aged man's in front of us.
"Sir William, what's it been, two, three years since we last met, hows things been since stationing you here.?"
Leon spoke and greeted him, Sir William didn't bow unlike many of others.
"It's been quite the annoyance, honestly. Though things seem to be progressing well, I heard you've brought me some more men, and.. oh so this is her."
He spoke to Leon straight-faced and Leon the same, though once seeing me his attention followed and he spoke once more.
He was quite tall so he knelt down and looked at me closer.
"Huh, I didn't expect this one to be your type."
He looked back at Leon and backed off.
"Your son said the same thing when meeting her, though I'm wondering what people think my type is."
"So you're saying they aren't willing to speak with you, nor me about allowing entry at the border. Have they at least allowed the letter to be sent.?"
"The letter was allowed, though we haven't received a response yet. Though I'm not sure even with approval from the king we'll be allowed entry. Their commander seems to be quite stubborn."
I watched the group deliberate about what was going on.
It seemed that there's one commander of Latis' invading forces.
It seems that he won't speak with Sir William in a face to face meeting.
He oversees what gets through the border, if Leon isn't able to get access then it's going to be hard for us to get in.
It'll also be hard for us to receive the letter of reply, without that we won't be able to have true access, and without meeting with the commander to show we have the right to go in we won't be allowed in.
I knew what Leon was going to do, though I didn't care for it one bit.
