Ye Fan's voice thundered in the night.
Everyone could see the icy glint flash across his eyes.
His right arm rose into the air and circled a few times.
The natural energies of heaven and earth appeared to respond to his call as they surged towards Ye Fan and gathered within his palm.
Clouds roiled in the skies while leaves were torn from their branches and swept away by a gust of wind.
The waves of energy emanating from Ye Fan grew more powerful by the moment.
Within the span of a few seconds, the power that exuded from his form had reached a terrifying intensity!
Everyone watched in stupor as a gigantic palm took shape in the skies.
Its vastness blanketed the heavens and obscured the moon and the stars.
The sight of it sent everyone reeling back in terror.
"Heavens..."
"What...what is that?"
"Where did that gigantic palm come from?"
Fear was driving them mad.
These were ordinary soldiers who had been taught science and reason their whole lives.
The feat that they were witnessing right now was something that they had only seen in the movies or television dramas.
They were naturally blown away by the sight of this.
Chen Lan himself widened his eyes in shock.
"What kind of technique is that? How could a nobody possess such great power?"
Fear shone brightly in his eyes. He began to consider the possibility of a retreat.
Without hesitation, he turned and attempted to leave.
"Trying to run for it? Do you think you can?" A mirthless smile tugged at Ye Fan's lips.
The enormous palm in the sky fell upon him instantly.
A loud clap of thunder erupted in the forest.
Chen Lan clenched his jaw and struggled to hold his ground.
But the overpowering force of Ye Fan's attack was simply too much for him. It had driven Chen Lan's feet deep into the ground.
"Don't bother fighting back. It's useless," said Ye Fan dispassionately like a judge meting out a death sentence.
The enormous palm sank further downward. With a thunderous roar, Ye Fan bellowed. "Kneel!"
Chen Lan failed to withstand the further weight crushing down on him. All he felt was an overpowering force rushing at him like the overwhelming waves of a tsunami.
The sound of bones snapping punctuated the air. Chen Lan's legs broke and his kneecaps shattered. Blood poured from his mouth. Ye Fan's attack drove the towering man onto his knees.
Blood gushed from his mouth like a bright red waterfall.
Chen Lan looked a sorry sight. He knelt like a prisoner on death row, his former air of arrogance gone without a trace.
Ye Fan's blow had crushed his bones and his blood vessels.
He was a ruined man.
The human instinct for survival drove him to plead with Ye Fan desperately.
Instructor Chu...please...spare my life.
Please don't kill me. I don't want to die..." His weakened voice sounded pitiful.
