A Dish Best Served Cold (The Man In Rage) novel Chapter 1204

What bemused Ye Fan was Lei San's reaction upon finding out that Li Er's son, Li Zi-Yang had been promoted in the military. He had hurried to Yunzhou and sent his own son, Lei Ao-Ting to Ye Fan.

"Mr Chu, my son's a rascal who's gotten himself into all sorts of trouble over the years. Please take this rascal in and teach him some discipline. Hit him and punish him as you please. Do whatever it takes to put him on the right path. I won't say a word even if you break his leg!" pleaded Lei San.

Behind him was Lei Ao-Ting, standing stupidly like a fool.

The brazen young master of the Lei family only looked this subdued and obedient when Ye Fan was around.

"Why are you standing there like an idiot? Get on your knees and greet your teacher, Instructor Chu!" Before Ye Fan could say a word, Lei San glared at his son and yelled at him to get on his knees.

Ye Fan didn't say a word. He simply turned around and glared at Li Er.

It didn't take a genius to realize that Li Er must have been bragging about his son's promotion to everyone.

Look at what that had brought Ye Fan? Nothing but trouble!

"Lei San, what do you think you're doing? Mr Chu's a busy man. He's got no time to discipline your son. You're just putting him in a difficult spot. If you don't wish to discipline your own son, I can do your job for you. Just get him to call me Dad."

Li Er knew that he was the cause of all this trouble. Before Ye Fan could say a word, he had spoken up and made Ye Fan's excuses for him.

"Get out of the way, Li Er. I'm talking to Mr Chu here. This has nothing to do with you! Besides, your son got to have Mr Chu as his instructor. Why can't mine? My son might be a genius. He might do better than yours!" "That's nonsense! My son's a prodigy who's destined to be a general. Your son can hardly compare!" Li Er shot back angrily.

Li Er and Lei San broke out into a fight instantly and began hurling insults at each other.

Ye Fan was beginning to nurse a headache when someone arrived at the door.

It was Wang Jie-Xi, the head of the Wang family who had taken over Chen Ao's duties.

"Jie-Xi, you came at the right time. You can be the judge of this. Mr Chu's a busy man who has countless matters to attend to everyday. Instead of sharing his burden, Lei San's trying to give Mr Chu more work. He hasn't done a good job as a father and is trying to have Mr Chu discipline his own son for him. Isn't that ridiculous?" Li Er dragged Wang Jie-Xi into the argument as soon as he saw the latter and tried to get the latter on his side.

Wang Jie-Xi smiled sheepishly.

'Tm here to ask Mr Chu for a similar favor," said the man before turning around and yelling out loud. "Rascal, get your ass in here and get on your knees before Mr Chu. You're to treat Mr Chu like your own father and master from this day. Do you understand?"

Li Er was stunned speechless.

"Are the both of you nuts? You've sent your sons to Mr Chu because my son got promoted to lieutenant colonel? You're just envious. You're envious!" shouted Li Er.

Wang Jie-Xi and Lei San rolled their eyes, then glared at Li Er.

"You're the one who's filled with envy. We're asking Mr Chu for a favor, not you. Why are you getting in our way? Are you worried that our children's achievements will surpass your son's in the future?"
