A Dish Best Served Cold (The Man In Rage) novel Chapter 1577

Tang Yun had never wanted an exciting life filled with battlesand bloodshed.

She didn't choose to be the leader of the Chu Sect because she wanted the power. It was simply her responsibility to do so because that was what her family and her mentor expected.

Back then, Tang Yun had no desires.

All she wanted was to be the best martial artist there was and to fulfill her destiny and duty.

Things had since changed. Ye Fan had crashed into her life and melted away the icy walls around her heart. He showed her that there was more to life.

“My child, things are actually simpler than you think.

“Life lasts but a moment.

“The best way to live is to do so for your own sake.

“In short, you should live the life you want.

“Your life is your own to live, so don't betray yourself for the so-called destiny and responsibility that

others forced on you.”

The elder of the Chu family spoke with the heaviest of hearts.

“I was faced with the same dilemma when I was your age.

“In the end, I chose to be with the one I love.

“My mentor was so angry that he chased me out in a fit of anger.

“I never regretted my decision, though.

“I loved him, and that was why I was willing to be his woman. We even had children together.”

At that point in the story, a warm smile bubbled up on her aging face, and Tang Yun could almost see the happiness oozing out.

It was at that moment that Tang Yun was slightly taken aback.

Admiration and hope slowly blossomed within her heart.

It felt as though the story was infectious, and the joy from it swept Tang Yun's confusion away.

A mesmerizing smile finally showed itself on that stunning face.

“Alright then, Yun.

“Rest well for now.

“Don't worry, I won't tell anyone anything about our conversation today.

“A wrinkly old woman like me has no business butting in on the youngsters' matter.

“I believe that everyone will find their own way, eventually.”

Ye Fan's great-grandma didn't share too much about her own past. She simply examined Tang Yun's injury before leaving the room.

When Tang Yun was alone, she became lost in her thoughts once more.

“Yo, why are you still in there? The effects of the medicine should be gone, so why aren't you out yet? I bought you some new clothes. Come on out and see if it fits you well. You can continue taking a medicinal

bath tonight, so hurry it up already.”

Ye Fan's voice suddenly filled Tang Yun's ears. Before she knew it, Ye Fan had already entered the room.

Tang Yun was already in the tub and taking a medicinal bath at the time.

When she saw Ye Fan there, she panicked. She covered her breasts right away, and her sexy figure sunk deeper into the water. Her beautiful face turned as red as an apple. “Get out!

“I will kill you if you stay even a second longer.”

“Kill me?” repeated Ye Fan. He shook his head and chuckled before he said, “Oh, puh-lease. Given your current situation, you won't even be able to kill an ant.”

“Get the f*ck out!” roared Tang Yun once more. Her anger was getting a little out of control.

Being agitated worsened her condition and made her hurt herself again. She coughed as a result.

“Wow, okay. Calm down. Don't strain yourself. I'll leave,” said Ye Fan. He quickly admitted defeat and tossed the clothes aside before rushing out of the

place.

That being said, before he left, he turned around and rolled his eyes at Tang Yun. “You didn't need to chase me away. I'm not interested in sneaking a peek, anyway.

“It's not like I haven't seen it before.”

“You... Go to hell, you a*shole!” roared Tang Yun who was on the verge of going crazy with anger. She grabbed the clothes within her reach and hurled them at Ye Fan.

That prompted him to flee with his tail between his legs.

Tang Yun stared at the shameless guy who fled faster than a fish could die in the desert. She suddenly found the situation to be both infuriating and funny.

That idiot is still as shameless as ever.

Tang Yun couldn't even imagine how her life would be if her son turned out to be just as infuriating as Ye Fan. I will probably die young... and from high blood pressure triggered by immense anger.

Ye Fan left the Chu residence after dropping the clothes off for Tang Yun. Then, he went straight to the hill nearby.

“Show yourselves.”

Ye Fan stood at the top of the hill with his hands behind his back.

Standing right in front of him was China's territory.
