“What do you mean that it doesn’t add up?” Cedric’s tone grew even colder and more aloof.

It didn’t add up?

Having been in the business world for so many years, he always wanted definite results.

He disliked answers with uncertainty.

“Hey now, I’m just respecting your wishes. If you want, I can arrange a more definitive examination for

you.

“So, what you’re saying is you’re not sure?”

“Yes.” 

“Then this is pointless!” Cedric said and hung up the phone.

He had no interest in these uncertainties.

How Isabella’s eyes were injured….

He hadn’t dared to recall it those days. Every time he thought about it, his heart tightened. Just thinking about the reason for her injury could evoke the image of Isabella’s desperation, which in turn deepened his hatred for Natalie.
