Chapter 157 Cedric’s Changes
The revelation that Isabella was Natalie’s sister shocked and angered Rebecca..
Immediately, she called Cedric to return to the Johnson Manor. When Cedric arrived, Rebecca and
Christina went downstairs.
As they walked down the stairs, Rebecca instructed, “This has to be dealt with quickly. You should go to
Sapphire immediately.”
“Okay. I understand,” Christina nodded obediently, portraying the image of a well–behaved girl.
Christina sat in the hall, contemplating the situation. Meanwhile, Rebecca urged her to leave.
“Go now,” Rebecca pushed Christina gently.
“Okay,” Christina reluctantly agreed.
She preferred to stay at home whenever Cedric returned, but now, she had no choice but to comply with
Rebecca’s words.
Concealing her reluctance, Christina left.
Now that she was alone with Cedric, Rebecca felt the tension in the air. Cedric lit a cigarette, and
Rebecca sat opposite him, clearly agitated.
“I’ve decided to let Isabella live in Sapphire, Rebecca stated directly.
Cedric paused in his actions. He glanced at Rebecca and asked, “Why?”
“Do you already know about her relationship with Natalie?” Rebecca shot back.
Cedric’s expression darkened at the mention of this. Rebecca interpreted his displeasure as affirmation
that he did know.
“You’re being naive,” Rebecca continued. “Do you understand the impact this will have on the Johnson
family?
If Rebecca had known about Isabella and Natalie’s connection, she wouldn’t have allowed Isabella to
move in with their family.
Not because of Natale.
Bi because of their relationship, which is still unknown to the public)

“I even suspect that she intentionally leaked her relationship with Ivan,” Rebecca said, referring to the rumors that forced them to bring Isabella to the Johnson Manor.
Cedric’s face remained calm, but a hint of coldness flashed in his clear eyes.
“It wasn’t her,” he uttered in response.
Rebecca’s heart sank, and she narrowed her eyes.
“I don’t have the mood to worry about who it is right now. The most important thing at the moment is to send her to Sapphire. What do you think?” Rebecca asked.
Cedric fell silent. He remembered Natalie’s suggestion back in Elegance Bay–to send Isabella away from
Verde City.
What had been his response then?
Placing a completely blind person outside of Verde City was…!
“I know what you’re worried about, but I believe our family can arrange a few people to take care of her for
the rest of her life,” Rebecca asserted firmly.
Everything else could be negotiated, but Rebecca couldn’t allow Isabella to remain in Verde City.
“Go ahead and make the arrangements,” Cedric said after some thought.
Hearing this, Rebecca breathed a sigh of relief. Seeing Cedric’s willingness, she softened her tone a bit.
“I understand that you have concems about her because she’s related to Ivan. But rest assured, I will make sure she is well taken care of. After all, Ivan was our family’s benefactor, and she’s his sister, right?”
“Yeah,” Cedric nodded without objection.
For him, as long as Isabella was properly taken care of, everything else didn’t matter.
The atmosphere in Verde City changed.
There was an ominous atmosphere, as if something significant was about to happen.
The next moming, Natalie got up early. She had her breakfast, applied her makeup, and dressed in a black
dress with a plush cost.

Cedric stepped out of the car, and then Natalie had a rough idea of what had happened.
