“That was for my daughter…” 

“She’s not your daughter. Forget about her,” Natalie replied coldly.

“You didn’t hesitate to risk her life back then. You didn’t care if she lived or died. When you did that, you lost the right to call yourself her father.”

Lucas looked at Cedric, lost for words.

Just as Lucas was about to speak, the phone vibrated. 

Answering it, he said, “Hello.” 

Whatever was said on the other end caused Lucas’s expression to change instantly. 

Hanging up the phone, Lucas looked at Cedric, his face even graver. Cedric’s lips curled into a 

bitter smile.
