Lily follows the manager to the office.
The moment the door is closed, she puts her bag on the desk before the manager can say something.
She unzips the bag, revealing a thick wad of brand-new banknotes inside.
The manager is dumbfounded.
"Here is 300,000 in cash. I just need you to find someone to delete the surveillance video of me driving back this afternoon," Lily says coolly as she rests her hand on the bag.
The manager glances at the money, with a strong desire glinting in his eyes. He seems to be tempted.
After thinking for a while, the manager asks, "Is that your only requirement? Nothing else?"
Lily nods. "Maybe someone will check the surveillance camera in a few days. He is skilled in technical devices, so you need to delete the video completely."
The manager says, "No problem. I'll get someone to handle it."
Lily takes out all the money and puts it neatly on the desk. "Alright. Then I will leave this matter to you."
After granting the manager's promise, she leaves.
Upon returning to the apartment, Lily takes out a recording pen in her pocket and turns it on. The conversation between her and the manager can be heard clearly.
This is her backup plan.
Since the manager can take her money, it’s highly possible that he will take Leigh's money under the latter's coercion and bribery.
If that’s the case, she will use the recording pen to charge the manager with fraud.
A few days later, Lily receives the short video from Director Jarvis.
At the first glance of the video, she sees Louis' handsome profile. Wearing a long robe, he has an air of tenderness and gracefulness.
Her heart skips a beat.
She doesn't want to see Louis, but she can't help clicking on the video.
Although they have shot this video together, the finished product still amazes her.
Every scene is perfectly shot and the scenery and plot fit well.
It’s as if this isn’t a video and the roles played by them are real. She looks quite natural and charming, and even she herself is intoxicated by her performance.
Lily quickly turns off the video when Louis' deep and affectionate eyes come into her sight.
She looks at the back of her phone, but Louis' face keeps popping in her mind.
She rubs her eyebrows and scolds herself for still being fascinated by Louis.
How long will it take her to forget this man?
"I'm sorry, sir. You can't enter without an appointment. If you barge in, I'll call the security..."
Lily hears noises coming from outside.
It seems to be Ella's voice.
She wants to go out and see what has happened. Just as she stands up from her chair, someone kicks the door of her office open.
Without turning the doorknob, Leigh directly kicks it open.
His suit is wrinkled and he looks a little exhausted. After his gaze falls upon Lily, he quickly walks over.
"Where is she?" Leigh asks with a sinister look.
"Who?" Lily asks.
She looks at the door lock broken by him and sneers, "Mr. Leigh, this is HS Company, not Lewis Group. If you need anything from me, you have to make an appointment with my assistant in advance. You barged in like a bandit and even kicked my door open. You must offer me compensation."
"Don't play dumb with me!" Leigh says angrily, "I checked the surveillance camera of the Tourmaline Community. Four days ago, you went to my place to find her and took her away! Lily, how dare you!"
Crossing her arms, Lily looks at him and says, "Really? Then you can show the surveillance video to the police and say that I kidnapped your woman. The prerequisite is that you can prove that you are Little Fairy's legal husband."
