A Gammas Revenge
Chapter 209
Izzy’s POV

I ask Jordan to get everyone back to the other room because I have to talk to my Father about something. “Anything for you, Princess.” I hear in my head as he reluctantly puts me on my feet.
“Dad, there is something we need to talk about before going back.” I say and Jordan leads the others out of the room. Glenn is about to leave, but I stop him, knowing that my Father will need him.
“I am sorry for not asking you this personally, but I knew that I was missing an important piece of the puzzle. I look at my Father apologetically.
Sweetheart, what is going on? Why do I get this feeling that I barely escaped a nightmare?” He asks, while Glenn puts his arms around him.
“You will understand once I continue with my story. But I need you to come clean about your past, Alpha.” I say, while holding his gaze. I see confusion in his eyes, but also a little relief.
My Love, you better listen to our Daughter. She wouldn’t ask this of you, if it isn’t absolutely necessary the truth to come out.” I hear Glenn say to my Father in our mind–link.

I am looking around me and Glenn asks me what is wrong. “I don’t have my hair tie.” I say as I look under the chair and table.
I hear both my Fathers chuckle and I snap my head up at them. “Don’t be mad at us. That Mate of yours put it in his pocket the second he pulled it from your hair.” I shake my head and my hair dances in all directions.
I feel hands in my hair, looking up I realize that Glenn standing behind me and that he is braiding my hair. As he finishes, he pulls a hair tie from his pocket and both my Father and I look at him confused.
“In my former Pack, the girls didn’t get much. So whenever I found something I knew they could use, I would put it in my pocket. Just before we left the Pack–house I found this one in the kitchen.” Hearing his explanation, makes me both angry and grateful.
Thank you, Dad.” I say as I pull him closer for a hug. “Tam glad you are my Father’s Mate, I love you.” And I mean every word I say to him.
We make our way back to the large conference room. I don’t look at Grace, but search for my Mate immediately upon entering the room.
I smile at him, the second our eyes meet and the look in his eyes tell me that he is not happy with my braid.
“Next time you walk off with my hair tie, I am going to find a pair of scissors,” I growl at him through the mind–link. A flash of fear runs through his eyes as soon as my words register in his brain.
Ule holds out his hand and through the mind–link he apologizes for taking it with him. “But we like it when it is hanging down, we like running our hands through. And I smile as I remember the feeling of his hands in my hair.
Holding his hand I turn around, ready to get it all out in the open. My Father deserves answers and so do Dagmar and Alpha Maddox.

“Grace, Roger, you were not here when I started my story. So I will give you the broken down version. Five years ago I left in search of my Mother.” Neither one responds to my words and I decide to take a different
1 approach.
“Before the Evil Moon Pack attacked you on the Full Moon, I went to my Mother’s Pack after I learned her name from Beta Matthew.” My eyes wander in Grace’s direction, but it doesn’t look like it registers.
My mind starts racing, because I was sure that I would get some sort of reaction from her.
“Dad, can I ask him. “I
you please explain to everyone from which Pack you come and who you really a know you don’t like talking about it, but it will help everyone understand what I am about to reveal. If there was another way, I would not ask this of you.” He nods his head and takes a step forward.
“There is a part of my past I don’t like talking about. Sweetheart, I am sorry I never told you.” He says to me. “My Mother and I came here after our Pack was attacked and that was all I ever said about it.
It wasn’t a lie, but it was not all of it either. A few weeks before the attack, my Sister died after she was attacked by a rogue. It left my family shattered to pieces, she was smart, beautiful and annoying. Her name was Isabel, but I always called her Izzy.
My Father was killed during the attack, but before he died he ordered me to get my Mother to safety.” The memories of that day become too much and he can’t finish his story.
I walk over to him, hug him and kiss him on his cheek. I will take it from here, because now the real mess comes.” I tell him.
I watched Grace as my Father was talking, but still nothing. It was as if she didn’t remember meeting him or the events following. For a moment I am at a loss.
