A Girl’s Diary novel Chapter 2

Did you ever wake up but felt like the day is full that so you wanted to sleep it off? Well, that's the zombie me right now! That's how I woke up today.

How did I manage my life between being a star and a senior high schooler?

I didn't!

I had a schedule telling me what exams, assignments, training, concerts... and all the blah blah blah shit I had. Why you ask?

The answer was simple...

To keep me on my toes, ahem, even though I do nothing at the end and probably end up late... as always!

School was a total fail but at least out of the list. I mean it was the thought that counted, right?

Next was homework! Yay, that was the fun part, not!

I was trying to do my homework quickly. To be honest it was almost too easy. I was such a smart kid. Damn, I could totally envy my big brains! Well, until I started doing my math homework. I was pretty sure I was failing this subject. I'd ask for help later. Probably from some hot nerd... or not! I still had lots of stuff to study... maybe just not for today.

Aurora would murder me if I was late... again

I got up to get ready for rehearsal in a sloth-like motion feeling too content with my laziness. Wait a second, was that my phone ringing? I asked myself when I heard my latest song! But I didn't put the ringtone! I'd never put since I told everyone I hated Cinnamon! Ironic, I know! I checked my pockets, no it wasn't my phone. That's when I remembered.

My manager, Aurora, gave me another phone.

She said that Cinnamon should be another character from the real me if I don't want my identity to be revealed or exposed. Well, now she's ringing on that phone.

It must be an emergency to call me now! And why would she put that ringtone if I was supposed to be not related to Cinnamon? So instead of letting her get mad, I answered the phone.

Act cool!

"Heeey" Not that much, stupid! Ugh!

"C, baby where are you?" Her tone robotic, was she mad or worried? I had to know to tell the right lie!

"I was about to get ready and come." I decided to go with the truth. Whoever said truth is the best strategy was a liar!

"You are late darling! I was so worried, you're never late. And now you're still at home" Calm down Aurora, I still had my ripe college days to live!

"Had a hard day sorry, I'll be here ASAP!" I guess I was a liar too, oh well!

"You have ten minutes only honey." She purred, her voice surreal. Now, I knew I was dead.

"More than enough." That was the optimism I needed in my life.

However, It was an awful lie, I needed at least an hour... I was so dead! So, I put on one of the outfits I had for these kinds of situations. (Mom's suggestion btw!) I ran downstairs to get my mom's car key. Call it my bad luck but, it was not there and neither was she! My car was still being fixed and neither Ian nor Loca had a car! Wait a second! Didn't Ian get a Harley...

So, I called him and he came to my rescue. His exact words were 'You better know pretty well, you owe me' In seconds, he was sprinting downstairs.

"We have ten minutes, less actually!" I panicked.

"Classic Elena!" He chuckled grabbing me to the garage.

Everything passed as a blur. Buildings. Cars. People. It was all hazy grey scene making me scarred for life. That guy was speeding beyond speed limits. When did he learn to drift like this!

When we arrived, I checked my watch. Ha! Only a minute late!

I hurried to the backdoor, but then Ian grabbed my hand.  I looked at him puzzled. "You idiot, where's your mask?" I wasn't not wearing it! Shit shit shit! He shook his head while I continued my panic, took off his scarf and wrapped it around me and then put the motorcycle helmet on my head "Now you're safe. Don't pump into doors." he says. I was so relieved now, what would I do without that boy. I'd probably be either exposed or killed by the hands of Aurora.

Such a calm life!

Now I seriously needed to go in there. I entered from the back door to find her standing there, commanding everybody. The moment she saw, she pointed to my dressing room, so I went there and so did she. I was definitely going to be murdered tonight.

Maybe horror movies were just playing with my mind.

When we got there Aurora kept glaring at me which was definitely a bad sign, so I started talking! Waiting for the scolding was even worse than the scolding itself! Always be the one to break the ice! (If you didn't mind getting your neck broken after... or any other part of your body for that matter!)

"Hey, Aurora!" I gave her my most practised winning smile.

"Don't hey me young lady. Where have you been? Do you have any idea what time it is?" She scolded. Guess I used it on her too much. Ugh! Now I would have to find another way to deal with these situations. Should I take that as a bad sign?
