A Life Beyond Limits novel Chapter 196

This was especially so with Jack's deep and mesmerizing gaze, which made a few of the women's hearts skip a beat.

Amelia and Queenie, along with a few other waitresses, naturally noticed Jack as well.

"Sir, would you like me to pour you a drink?"

Just as Jack was thinking about how to integrate himself into this circle, a gentle voice sounded near his ears.

He turned and saw a beautiful woman in uniform holding a bottle of red wine. She was looking at him carefully.

Jack realized that his glass was indeed empty, so he smiled and replied, "Yes. Thank you."

Then, he handed his glass to the woman.

Perhaps even Jack himself didn't know how charming his smile and gentle gaze was at that moment.

The woman's heart skipped a bit. Her cheeks flushed, and her hand that was holding the wine bottle trembled slightly.

"Be careful," Jack gently reminded her as he helped her to steady the bottle and pour the wine into his glass.

Then, the woman, who was blushing furiously, fled the scene like a startled deer.

"Madison, why did you come back so suddenly?" a few waitresses asked curiously as they surrounded Madison Brook.

They had all been watching expectantly to see how Madison would seduce the good-looking businessman, but they didn't expect her to run back in a panic.

Madison was too embarrassed to say that she had been flustered and charmed by Jack and that she had run back because she was afraid to make a fool of herself.
