A Life Beyond Limits novel Chapter 23

Patrick wore a bitter expression when facing Jack's question. "Of course, we have considered that idea, but various plug-in studios rush in whenever a popular game is released. It's difficult unless we have a particularly outstanding advantage."

When he saw Jack frown slightly, Patrick continued, "Some new games in the public testing phase could offer an opportunity to develop plug-ins, but the risks are high.

"The quality of games today is inconsistent, and most games die out shortly after being released, with very few players. We might end up losing everything if we rush in."

Jack understood and already had a preliminary idea in mind.

Jack focused on searching for new games that would be released in the following days. One role-playing game called "Bloody Dawn" piqued his interest, and after playing it for a few days, he felt it was quite promising.

It appeared to have the potential to become a hit.

The problem now was to convince Patrick to join.

Software development requires teamwork, and maintenance in the later stages cannot be done alone. Moreover, Patrick valued profit, so it would be hard to get him on board without clear results.

Jack would need to start by preparing the plug-in software, developing part of it, and inviting Patrick to join. If they could seize the opportunity, the business potential would be limitless.

While working on the plug-in, Jack gradually adapted to university life. He got along well with his roommates, except for Ronnie and Joshua.

These two locals came from wealthy families and looked down on Jack and others. They only regarded Luca because his family was also well off.
