A Life Beyond Limits novel Chapter 26

Jack had been thinking about how to persuade Patrick to join him, but he didn't expect Patrick's plug-in to fail first—it truly was a stroke of good luck.

Jack finally stated the purpose of his visit after consoling him. "I've recently developed a plug-in for the game 'Bloody Dawn'. Since you're free right now, are you interested in collaborating?"

He plugged in a USB drive as he spoke and began demonstrating his plug-in on the computer.

"Let me take a look."

After trying it out, Patrick was shocked that the plug-in operated smoothly and the design was user-friendly. In particular, the monster-targeting and treasure-digging functions were thoughtfully designed from the player's perspective.

The small but thoughtful design details made Patrick call him a genius.

Patrick couldn't believe that just two months ago, Jack had still been learning programming, and now he could independently develop such an excellent piece of software.

Patrick took a sip of his drink and calmly asked, "Do you think this game will be a hit?"

Jack smiled slightly. "Nothing can ever be completely certain, but I believe this game has potential. Besides, the early bird catches the worm—we can't miss this opportunity."

Patrick still had some concerns. "I need to think about it."

The entire studio would have to focus on "Bloody Dawn" if he agreed, and Patrick felt uncertain.

Just as everyone was excitedly discussing, Luca returned. Ronnie quickly shared the news with Luca, but Luca merely nodded faintly, seeming rather uninterested.

Jack keenly noticed that Luca seemed a bit down, as though something was bothering him. But Jack didn't ask further, as it was Luca's personal matter.

In the afternoon, Samuel and Isaac invited Jack to join them for a meal, and play basketball in the evening.

This competition had 15 spots for each academy, and Isaac hoped Jack would participate.

Isaac had seen his skills after playing a few rounds of basketball with him and believed he could join the team. But Jack said he would think about it, as he had too many things to do.
