"I do," Jack answered without hesitation, though his voice faltered as he tried to explain. "It's just… I wanted to put the past behind me."

Her questions were sharp and unrelenting, leaving Jack feeling exposed. The way she looked at him made him even more uncomfortable.

But Phoebe wasn't done. She continued to stare at him and asked, "If Feena also liked you and pursued you, who would you choose between her and Bella?"

The question stopped Jack in his tracks.
