A Life Debt Repaid novel (John and Cordy) novel Chapter 267

"Do as I say, but not as I do, huh?" Zoe complained, but she had toned down now after John's outburst.

Seriously? John had been a father since he was twenty-one!

"Get out," John ordered, not wanting to talk to her anymore.

Zoey reluctantly obeyed his words, as was her habit. She got up to leave, but suddenly stopped to say, "Aren't you afraid you'll suffocate to death with how tightly you wrapped yourself in that?"

John ignored her and pulled the covers even more tightly around him.

Zoe then remembered that Cordy had mentioned going out to buy John some clothes. Could it be...

Was he wearing nothing underneath the covers?

Wow! How intense had last night been?

So he was trying to indicate that no one could take a peek at his body apart from Cordy? Not even his cousin?

'Oh, this virtuous man! May all the male compatriots in this world put up with you!' Zoe thought as she walked out of the bedroom in a huff, and closed the door behind her.

With her cousin's personality, he might kill her if she accidentally saw anything. She opted to wait in the living room.

Thirty minutes later, Cordy came home with a set of men's clothes and went straight to the bedroom.

"Try it on and see if it fits," Cordy said, handing the clothes to John.

John saw a black windbreaker, a white shirt, khaki pants, and black underwear; she even bought a pair of black socks for him.

He lifted the covers, and Cordy turned around hurriedly before exclaiming angrily, "Are you an exhibitionist?"

Had this man no shame?!

"...Only with Miss Sachs," John said.

Was it because of the look on her face?

"No, it's nothing," Cordy said, her usual indifferent expression sliding back on her face. "Does it fit?"

"Yeah," John replied. Without mincing his praise, he continued, "You have such a precise grasp on my measurement, especially my pants-"

Cordy didn't bother listening any further. She turned around and walked out the door.

Give him an inch, and he asks for a mile!

Zoe was tired of waiting, and she thought she was about to die from boredom when she finally saw that the two of them were out. She was worried for a moment that they were going to start their morning… No, afternoon activities again...

Thank goodness they came out.

She had been starving the whole day, since she was waiting to eat together with them.
