Chapter 8

Alena
“What the hell are you doing?” Alexei asked, trying to hold back his anger. It was obvious he couldn’t hold back his anger any longer. He wasn’t playing games or joking around as he kept staring at me. Alexei hasn’t been known to be good at keeping his anger on hold whenever he was mad, but I guess he needed to control it unless he wanted to make a scene.

The high was starting to wear off as I fix my hair, trying to think straight.
Matteo was seconds away from inserting his finger inside me and suddenly, my dear brother was being mad at me. quite a turn of events
“That’s it. You’re leaving.” he said as he grabbed my wrist, pulling me up.
Matteo stood up, pushing Alexei’s hand from mine. “What do you think you’re doing?”
“Look, this has nothing to do with you, Matteo. I’m taking my sister home,”
“She came here with me. So, she’ll be leaving with me
Alexei’s eyes widened as he frowned, “She is my sister.”
It was
Own
I shook my head, letting Matteo hold my hand and pull me behind him. It was as if he was shielding me from my brother he wasn’t going to harm me, but he was determined on taking me home. Apparently, he didn’t expect to find me anywhere close to the Matteo.
He did warn me about him.
“I’m not going anywhere with you, Alexei. I’m not a kid,” my hand grabbed onto Matteo’s arm, as they both stared at each
other.
Both stood tall, almost the same height but Matteo was slightly taller by a few inches. They couldn’t be less than six foot tall, so they were like giants, Matteo didn’t look bothered by Alexei’s presence. In fact, he seemed to be enjoying it. He was -gaining his own pleasure from this; he knew this was going to bother Papa.
“You’re getting yourself into a lot of trouble, Alena.” Alexei added, clenching his jaw.
“Go report to daddy, then. That’s what you always do.”
Matteo smirked, and I swore he was trying to hold back his laughter. Alexei and I were bantering like children–we weren’t acting any different than when we were kids. We used to argue all the time but as we grew older, the arguments stopped.
Now, he was trying to protect his sister, but he didn’t have to. I willingly came to Matteo.
“I’m not leaving until you come with me.”
“I think that’s enough. I don’t think you understand just how much trouble you’re causing to our peace treaty. It was a big mistake for you to walk here and try to drag Alena out. My fiancee clearly said she didn’t want to go anywhere with you” Matteo interrupted, sounding serious.
Wait did he just say fiancée?
“Fiancée?” Alexei’s eyes widened, “What is the meaning of this, Alena?”
“Right. Alena is my fiancée and I want you to respect her as she’ll soon be my wife. If you ever try to bother her again, I won’t tolerate it.” Matteo replied as he pulled my hand, showing the perfect engagement ring on my finger–when did he slide that ont

Probably when I was too busy getting lost with his fingers.
“Papa’s going to kill you.” Alexei groaned, feeling frustrated.
“He’d have to go through me first.”
Then, Alexei immediately walked out of the restaurant, leaving us.
I looked down at my hand, especially at the engagement ring. The oval diamond was shining brightly underneath the hanging lights. The ring looked as if it was made for me–I didn’t expect Matteo to put it on when I wasn’t aware, I had thought he was going to go down on one knee and propose.
“It fits.”
“Did you expect it not to?”
“I didn’t expect it to fit. You don’t know my size.”
“Never expect anything less from me, Alena. You’ll just be disappointed,” he replied as he took a seat, completely returning to his old self.
I tried to ignore the awkwardness between us, especially after the fingering incident. Well, he didn’t exactly finger me–he was going to, but he didn’t because my dear brother, Alexei had decided it was a great moment to ruin. He didn’t see what we were doing, he just saw red when Matteo and I were close to each other.
“He’ll spread the news. And so will the rest of the people who were eavesdropping,” he added.
“I thought you were going to go down on one knee.
“Let the proposal be a mystery. Besides, you weren’t complaining when I slid the ring on.” A sly smirk appeared on his face as he took a sip of his wine, and I felt my cheeks beating Long gune was the sexual tension between us. I didn’t have the courage to ask him either, so I kept quiet, letting it pass
“How could I? I wasn’t focusing
“Mm, so I saw,”
“You you didn’t have to do that.”
“Do what, exactly?” He raised an eyebrow, waiting for me to continue.
I hit a dead end. He wanted me to say the words, he wanted me to tell him what he did. He was waiting for me, but he knew 1 didn’t have the courage to do so. It was sudden and it was a surprise to me–nobody has ever touched me like that in public. The rush I was feeling was bizarre, but it felt good.
“Say it. Alena.”
“I don’t want to.”
“Why not?”
“You didn’t do anything.
“So, it wasn’t me who felt your wet pussy?” He asked, his face neutral.
Ola, this man was good at this game. He was putting me on the edge of my seat and now he was making me admit of the things he did. He wanted me to say them out loud.
*1 didn’t expect you to

Chapter 8
The leaned back on his seat. “Don’t worry. It won’t happen again
Then, I felt it. Was it disappointment or was it something else? Did I expect him to touch me again? We were nowhere near that relationship–our marriage was going to be fake, too. I needed to clear my head. I wasn’t supposed to let him touch me there in the first place.
The rest of the dinner was quiet while I enjoyed the food.
Well, I couldn’t forget what he did to me earlier. The way his fingers knew exactly where to touch. The way his breath was hot against my neck. The way he held my legs to spread them apart. He knew his way with women.
He must’ve had his fair with women, too.
Why did I expect more from Matteo? I wanted him to finish what he started because I was wet. I didn’t want to admit it because I was being prideful, but I wanted him to. If he had inserted his fingers, I was going to completely lose it.
Somehow, I was thankful that Alexei came.
I was also thankful we were in public. I couldn’t imagine how things were going to go if we were at his estate or somewhere private–we might’ve even gone all the way. I was going to wake up with regret, but I couldn’t avoid him forever we were going to live under the same roof for a very long time.
The drive home was even more quiet.
I couldn’t bother anymore so when we reached his estate, I immediately walked up the stairs and into my bedroom. I didn’t spend a second to say a word to him or waited for him because I knew I needed to get out of this dress and blame myself for reacting the way I did.
So, the night of the proposal didn’t exactly go as I had in mind.
Slipping the ring on while he was trying to pleasure me. That was never the story anyone would want to tell their family and friends.
I ran myself a warm bath, letting it feel as I took my time to undress. I left the dress on the bed with my earrings and engagement ring. The ring was an expensive piece. It was a statement to the public.
I had expected it to be an expensive one because knowing Matteo, he wanted to show he could afford it, However, I appreciated it that it wasn’t too big or too heavy.
