A Man Like None Other novel Chapter 1640

Chapter 1640 Repay

The following morning, Jared felt much better as he had a strong physique. Meanwhile, Axton hurried all the way to the Deragon residence with various pills and herbs.

He had been anxious to learn about Jared’s injuries and came over with the medication himself. “My Lord, are you all right?” he asked worriedly after seeing Jared. “I’m fine.” Jared shook his head. “Did you bring the medicinal herbs I need?”

“Yes. I also brought some pills along.” Axton showed Jared the pills and medicinal herbs he had brought with him. Jared gathered everything and knocked on the door of the room next to his.

Hailey opened the door. After tending to her injuries for one night, she looked much better. Nevertheless, her aura was still unstable.

The sight of Jared looking like he didn’t even get hurt caught Hailey off guard. Only one night has passed. How did Jared heal so quickly when there is a lack of spiritual energy here?

“Are you all right?” Jared asked.

Hailey gave him a reassuring nod. “I’m fine.”

“I have some medicinal herbs and pills that can help you recuperate,” Jared said as he handed the pills and herbs Axton brought over to her.

Hailey glanced at the stuff he gave her. She knew that they were worth a lot in the mundane world.

Confused, she asked, “Why would you help me?”

Jared and she weren’t related to each other, and they didn’t know each other before this. Thus, she had no idea why he would treat her this well.

“Don’t worry. I don’t have any ulterior motives. You can leave after you recover completely,” Jared explained, worried that she would misunderstand his intention.

“I…” Hailey parted her lips, but she didn’t know what to reply. In the end, she could only say, “Thank you. I’ll repay your favor one day.”

Jared flashed a smile and said nothing as he turned to leave. After all, he didn’t help Hailey so she could repay his favor.

Autumn dragged her injured body back to Violet Cloud Palace.
