A Man Like None Other novel Chapter 1965

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Royler struck out a few more punches, stirring up more dust and dirt. Still, the boulder remained unmoving.

He panted heavily as his forehead beaded with cold sweat.

“What's the matter with you, Royler? How dare you keep your true capabilities from us? Were you planning to betray us?” Marcelo demanded angrily.

It seemed like the man intended to hit Royler as well.

After all, they had formed an alliance. The fact that Royler hid his true capabilities from them must mean that he had a plan of his own.

Jose stopped Marcelo and reprimanded the latter, “Enough! Now is not the time to fight amongst ourselves. Let's work together to break the boulder.”

Jose was not too pleased with Royler either. However, their priority should be to crush the boulder blocking their way.

Just when Jose tried to gather them to break the boulder, Jared spoke up.

“Don't waste your energy. You guys won't be able to break the boulder even if all of you work together.”

Jose and the others turned to look at Jared, furrowing their brows. “Jared, what do you mean by that? Are you saying that you can break this boulder?”

“This boulder has been locked within the arcane array, so the boulder won't break as long as the arcane array is still intact,” Jared stated flatly.

“You're bullsh*tting us. If the boulder is really within the arcane array, why didn't I feel a thing when I hit it multiple times earlier?” Royler retorted aloud.

He hadn't felt the presence of an arcane array.

“I think he's talking cr*p as well. Just ignore him. We can surely break the boulder if we work together,” Marcelo said derisively.

He rolled his eyes at Jared, obviously not believing what the man had said.

Jose nodded. They had no other choice but to give it a try. The three of them, together with others from prestigious families, worked together to strike at the boulder.

The Martial Arts Marquises' auras intertwined and viciously struck the boulder.

A deafening boom ensued. With the constant barrage of thunderbolts, the entire place had turned into a veritable inferno.

Still, the boulder was unaffected, shocking everyone present.

Seeing as even their combined effort was futile, they turned to look at Jared once again.

“Stop wasting your energy and wait for your impending death...”

Skylar's voice rang from the outside.

Jose boiled with fury when he heard Skylar's voice. Others from prestigious families also started to hurl profanities at the man. They finally knew why Skylar so kindheartedly asked for everyone to head inside the ancient ruins. It was a trap!

Jose looked at Jared and asked grimly, “Jared, you said the boulder is locked within an arcane array. Are you able to break it?”

“Of course.” Jared smiled.

“Well, hurry up and do it then,” Jose said exasperatedly.

The others cast looks of anticipation at Jared. They would be able to leave once the boulder was crushed.

“Watch carefully, everyone...”

Jared approached the boulder. His palm gleamed with a golden light, like a sun in utter darkness.

Everyone was dumbfounded as they anticipated seeing how Jared would break the arcane array and the boulder.

Jared smacked three consecutive times at the head of the unicorn imprinted on the boulder.

However, the boulder did not move, and the others started to despair.

“We're going to die here.”

“Why did Jared have to act like he's all that? I thought he could really break the boulder.”

The others were displeased that Jared had lied to them, but Jared was unfazed.
