A Man Like None Other (Jared Chance) novel Chapter 4186

Chapter 4186 Underestimated Him
“President Surrey, Emmanuel and his group found us. but they were all killed,” Felipe said.

“What? Killed?” Thaddeus frowned. “Kai is merely a Sixth Level Tribulator, and the men and women around him are even weaker. How could they possibly have killed Emmanuel and the others? Did you all lend a hand? Or perhaps someone assisted Kai?”

“President Surrey, we didn’t lend a hand, and no one assisted Kai either. It was all Kai’s own doing. As soon as Emmanuel and his gang approached Kai, they were instantly engulfed by his demonic fire, causing them to scream in agony. If Felipe and I hadn’t acted swiftly, they probably would have sold us all out, including you,” Freya said.

Listening to Freya’s words, Thaddeus remained unsettled for quite some time.

Emmanuel and his group consisted of Seventh and Eighth Level Tribulators. While this might not be particularly remarkable in the Ethereal Realm, they were considered experts among alchemists.

Yet, they couldn’t even handle Kai, who was only a Sixth Level Tribulator.

“It seems I’ve underestimated him,” said Thaddeus, his face dark.
At that moment, Kai had already approached the light curtain, slowly reaching out.

“Mr. Chance, be careful,” Sigurd quickly said.

“Kai, don’t be reckless…” Viola stepped forward and grabbed Kai.

With so many cultivators getting hurt within the light curtain, who knows what could happen if Kai were to enter it?

“Don’t worry. I know what I’m doing. This so-called light curtain is nothing more than a test.”
Kai gave a slight smile, then gently broke free from Viola.

He stepped into the light curtain, and his figure vanished in an instant.

When Thaddeus saw Kai entering the light curtain, he immediately rushed over.

Vincent and Ernesto went over as well.

They couldn’t comprehend why Kai decided to step into the light curtain.

As Kai stepped into the light curtain, he felt a strange force tearing his body apart.

He wanted to control his body, but he simply couldn’t manage it.

“What is this energy? It’s so peculiar. It’s not spiritual energy, not celestial energy, or demonic energy. What on earth could it be?”
Kai was somewhat at a loss.

The markings on the Divine Cauldron were constantly radiating light.

Inside the light curtain, waves of peculiar energies were visible.

Two streams of energy flew past the front of the Divine Cauldron and were unexpectedly drawn directly into it.

Noticing the situation, the other energies moved away from the Divine Cauldron and relentlessly attacked Kai.

Kai hovered directly above the Divine Cauldron. The peculiar energies around him behaved as if they were mice that had spotted a cat, all circling him but no longer daring to attack him.
