A Man Like None Other (Jared Chance) novel Chapter 4629

Teegan, leading his men, forcefully kicked open the door, appearing before Billy.

Billy was taken aback, and there were still stacks of celestial crystals piled up in front of him.

Seeing the celestial crystals in front of Billy, Teegan thundered, “The audacity, how dare you trade celestial crystals privately in Beast City!”

Teegan hadn't directly exposed Billy's identity as a human cultivator because he feared that Billy, when cornered, might be driven to desperation.

Selling celestial crystals privately wasn't a particularly grave offense. However, if a human cultivator lurking in Beast City had dared to do such a thing, it would undoubtedly be a capital offense.

“Mr. Teegan?”

Upon seeing that it was Teegan himself who had led the raid, Billy was somewhat shocked.

After all, it was the Law Enforcement Department of Beast City that typically handled such matters. Someone of Teegan's stature would never be leading a team to apprehend those trafficking celestial crystals.

“Since you know who I am, it makes things easier,” he said. “Just admit to your crime and spare yourself the pain,” Teegan said with a huff.

Upon realizing that Teegan had not discovered his human identity, Billy heaved a silent sigh of relief. Then, bowing his head, he said, “Mr. Teegan, I am guilty. I have been secretly trading celestial crystals... I confess to my crimes, and I am ready for the punishment...”

Upon observing Billy's demeanor, Teegan was extremely pleased. Winning someone like that over was going to be easy.

“Selling celestial crystals privately is definitely an offense. However, since you're being cooperative, I'll spare you from imprisonment. Instead, I'll just confiscate the crystals,” said Teegan.

Billy looked at Teegan in disbelief. “Are you serious, Mr. Teegan? I really don't have to go to jail?”

“Of course, there are many who are illicitly selling celestial crystals. Even at the official collection points, there are those who are pilfering for their own benefit. Such incidents are rampant nowadays, and we have no choice but to turn a blind eye,” Teegan casually commented.

Billy was somewhat stunned. He couldn't believe these words had come from Teegan's mouth. After all, the latter represented the city lord mansion.
