A Man Like None Other (Jared Chance) novel Chapter 4983

Chapter 4983 Mysterious Aid
“My name is Aisha, a native of Caxton Continent. Caxton Continent was ravaged by Winged Tiger City. They didn't just plunder our resources. They also enslaved tens of thousands of our people. It wasn't easy for me to escape from the sky prison. I hope you can help me. If you manage to get me out, my father, the Emperor, will surely reward you handsomely,” Aisha pleaded with Jared.

Upon hearing that, Jared was taken aback. He hadn't expected that Aisha was actually a princess.

“Stop talking nonsense. Caxton Continent is filled with natural barriers and countless intricate arcane arrays. For all these years, no one has ever trespassed. How could a mere Winged Tiger City possibly conquer Caxton Continent?” Eason said.

“Father, are you familiar with Caxton Continent?” Jared asked curiously.

Eason answered, “Of course. Caxton Continent is the richest and most resourceful region of the human race. Many of the human race experts are in Caxton Continent. Back in the day, Beast Monarch amassed armies from several beast races' cities to attack Caxton Continent. In the end, they all returned empty-handed. How could Winged Tiger City have done it?”

Jared found himself agreeing with Eason's words, so he turned his puzzled gaze toward Aisha, curious to see how the woman would explain herself.

“If it were just Winged Tiger City, it truly wouldn't have been able to invade Caxton Continent. However, Winged Tiger City had assistance from some enigmatic individuals. These people possessed formidable cultivation levels, capable of causing destruction, regardless of natural barriers or arcane arrays. Therefore, it was only due to their intervention that Winged Tiger City managed to penetrate Caxton Continent,” Aisha explained.

After hearing that, Jared immediately understood. Those mysterious individuals must be from Celestial Palace. Winged Tiger City has seemingly become Celestial Palace's lapdog, which is why they received Celestial Palace's assistance to invade Caxton Continent.

“All right. Let's not talk about that now. We should focus on finding a way out of here first!”

Jared knew that despite their hidden location, that place was far from safe. There was always the risk of being discovered at any moment.

Hence, he put his helmet back on. Then, the four of them, escorting Aisha, emerged from their hidden spot.

Since they were clad in full battle armor, they escorted Aisha without raising any suspicion.

As Jared and his companions were escorting Aisha toward the city gates, their path was abruptly blocked by a squadron of soldiers.

One of the soldiers, a captain, said, “I didn't expect you guys to catch her. Hand her over to me and go get some rest.”

“Captain, we're the ones who caught her, so why do we have to hand her over to you?” Jared asked.
