The next curse...
"Did she know what happened?" Khaos asked, he could see how Zuri became agitated because he talked with Rhett without including her, as if they were keeping a secret from her, which was true.
"No. Not really." Rhett waved at Zuri, but she was not happy with the gesture and ignored that. She became easily annoyed by little thing and Rhett must have felt the change of her personality. This was one of the side effects of the curse after all. "We sealed her memories about it." ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom
Obviously, or else, Zuri wouldn't see Rhett with adoration and still think of him as her favorite brothers. She would have done something to avoid Rhett.
"I will take Zuri for three days. This time, we will try to put four curses at the same time." He contemplated it for a while. "Last time, she could take three curses. I think her tolerance is rather high right now."
Khaos's expression was hard to read. "That's risky." He commented about it briefly.
"Yes," Rhett agreed. "But, we can try." There was no amount of regret when he talked about inflicting curses on his little sister, as if this was the most normal conversation. "Let's see what we can do. You don't need to worry, alpha. I will make sure everything running smoothly. You can meet with the other devotee after we put the curses, with that, you will strengthen our belief to the old dynasty."
Rhett and the other devotee that he was talking about was not loyal to Khaos, but they were close enough to worship him.
"I will come with you to see the process," Khaos said. He looked at Zuri, who was being impatient and then approached them. "I will be there in the process."
Rhett looked surprised, he looked like he wanted to advise Khaos against the idea, but Zuri was already there and the conversation was cut short.
"What the two of you were talking about?" She furrowed her brows, was not happy because she was being left out. She became a little bit clingy now and Rhett noticed that too.
Zuri originally was very bright, she was independent and had a strong opinion.
Logically speaking, someone meek and spoiled wouldn't be able to bring glory to the pack behind the scene. However, right now Zuri was nothing, but looked like a puppy in Khaos's palm, she would follow him everywhere and demanded attention from him.
Going on without medicine for so long had completely messed up her mind and it changed her personality.
Rhett was rather sad to have his brilliant sister to become like this, but then their main goal was not to enrich the pack and develop Zuri's potential, his sister's fate was to help them to revive the old dynasty, which was more important than to build one pack.
"Nothing," Khaos said, he smiled at her and kissed her forehead to appease her and Rhett could see the way the alpha treated his sister gently and how Zuri's eyes lit up.
