Khaos was the last of his kind and after all the betrayal from his people and how he lost Zuri now, he would be alone.
He could trust no one.
Their intention was sound, but the way they disobeyed his order was enough to say they were traitors. They disregarded his word and went on with their little mission, thinking they knew better.
It would be his biggest mistake if he had to keep them. One day, they would do it again, once Khaos’s vision was not align with them.
They needed to be gotten rid of.
"Fuck you, Khaos! Fuck you!" Lorent screamed when the pain racked his body. "You are not going to get her back! Live your life with that pain for the rest of your eternity!"
Khaos let the power within him to be sucked by Lorent. He came closer toward him and not only did he touch him, which meant the great power within him, was channeled directly to Lorent, he let out the power that had gathered inside of him like a torrent of water, like a broken dam.
And within a few seconds, Lorent’s skin had burned. His eyes had bulged very big, they outgrew their sockets and then burst under the pressure.
Khaos didn’t even flinch when he watched how Lorent screamed, he thrashed his body, but Khaos’s shadow pinned him in his place. Blood spluttered on the lycan’s face, but he didn’t even blink at all.
"Arrghhh!" Lorent screamed and blood oozed out from his ears, nose and in the end, he was choked in his own blood.
Lorent died miserably.
He made a huge mistake by approaching Zuri and got his mate taken, but all he wanted was only to get his mate back.
In the past, when he learned what Terrence family had done to Giana, he used all the power he had to get her back and shield her from any harm, but the damage had been done and Giana would never recover.
Even so, Lorent stayed by her side. Not even once he was thinking to leave her.
And now, despite the evil thing that he had done to Zuri, his heart was still true. He only wanted his mate. He only wanted his Giana...
The moment Lorent’s heart stopped beating and he died in such horrendous way, as the shadow consumed him and was not even a bone was left behind, Gianna, who was miles away from Three Deadly Ways, could feel the pain of the severed mate bond.
"No... no... no..." She whimpered, shaking her head and when the agony came like a broken dam, she started crying, yelling, punching anything that she could get her hand on. "NO!"
She banged her head against the carriage walls, which made the warriors that guarded the carriage stopped walking and check on her.
"What’s wrong with her?!" One of the warriors looked dumbfounded. They didn’t expect to see her having a mental broke down like this.
She was usually very calm and used to talked to herself, but to see her was capable of doing something violent, shocked them.
"She is crazily strong! Get some rope to tie her up!" One of the warriors yelled at the other.
Giana couldn’t shift and to take precaution, they put silver bracelet on her.
"No...! Don’t! Not him! Give him back to me... please, I want him... Lorent! Lorent!" Giana cried, she tried to hit the warrior that held her down, she wanted to go out of the carriage and ran toward her mate.
In the end, they had to bind their wrists and ankles together or else Giana would hurt herself. By the look of it, they were pretty sure this woman would have killed herself if they didn’t stop her in time.
She cried and begged them to call for Lorent. She wanted her mate. She wanted to see him again.
"No... take me back to Lorent! Lorent!"
"Let me see him! No! Don’t kill him! Don’t do that to him!"
"Please, please... I will be good. I will be good. I will take the curse again, please, don’t hurt him... no..."
Giana hated it when they inflicted the curse on her. Her family was awful and it was only Lorent, who would shield her from the pain. ƒreewebɳovel.com
She only had him.
If she didn’t have him, she had no one.
In a way, Khaos was very cruel to separate them for his own benefit, but in the end, the Lycan had never said that he was a good person at all.
