Chapter 520
The suspect suddenly showed up in Warrina. To prevent his escape, the police had to act immediately.
After finalizing the action plan with her colleagues at the police station, Reina set off immediately.
According to the policeman who had been following the suspect, he had three accomplices and they were most likely armed. They were now in a motel on the border of Warrina, backed up against the mountain.
When Reina and her colleagues arrived, the three men had just returned to the motel.
This made it easier for them to arrest the suspect.
All the policemen with their guns surrounded the motel quietly to prevent the suspect from jumping out the window.
The others, along with Reina, quietly sneaked into the motel.
The suspect was in a room on the second floor, so after entering the motel, the policemen immediately signaled the receptionist to stay quiet and then headed to the second floor.
The suspect had likely let his guard down after traveling through several states without being caught. Soon, the police successfully reached the room where he and his accomplices were staying.
Everyone held their breath and followed the command of their leader to kick the door open.
Shocked by what happened, the three suspects inside took out their guns subconsciously to shoot the policemen.
However, none of them had received shooting training, so they missed. The policemen skillfully dodged the bullets and quickly approached them.
Just as they were about to get them, something happened. The house began to shake and the decorations inside started to sway.
Everyone in the room was unsteady and struggled to keep their balance.
When everyone was in a daze, someone shouted, “There was an earthquake. Everyone get out of here!”
Reina was startled. She glanced at the suspect near her, determined not to let him escape like this, just as the other police officers were.
At this time, the leading policeman said, “I order you to retreat immediately or I will punish you after you go back to the police station.”
The police’s job was to catch criminals, but they also had to keep themselves safe. –

Chapter 300
Natural disasters were devastating for everyone and the police didn’t have to sacrifice their lives to catch criminals.
The police were going to retreat outside. Anyway, the motel was surrounded by police. The suspects wouldn’t be able to escape.
The three suspects were extremely anxious. Seeing the police holding the door, they attempted to escape through the window.
Just then, the distant house collapsed one after another. The next moment, they felt the floor starting to collapse too.
Everyone was shocked, and then they were buried by the collapsed house.
Reina witnessed the three suspects about to escape through the window and some of her colleagues being crushed to death by the falling wall.
The earthquake lasted about two minutes.
Reina was knocked out by the falling debris. When she woke up, she found herself in darkness, with only faint light shining through the ruins.
The air was filled with dust.
Reina moved a little and realized her limbs were uninjured. She breathed a sigh of relief and used her hands to feel around, trying to figure out her approximate position.
Feeling the narrow space, Reina realized that it might be a triangular space formed by prefabricated panels and load–bearing walls when the house collapsed, just enough to shield her.
Thinking of the chaotic scene during the earthquake, Reina worried about her colleagues and began to shout their names. “Jacob! Eddie! Nina! Can you hear me?”
It was a long silence. When Reina thought that all her colleagues died in the earthquake, she heard some noise.
“Are you okay, Reina?” It was Nina.
Hearing the familiar voice, Reina felt much better. She hurriedly said, “I’m blocked by a wall. I’m okay. I got hit by debris a moment ago.”
“Good. My leg is pinned under a rock and I can’t move. I’m not sure how long I can hold on,” said
Nina.
“What?” Reina was so surprised that she straightened up. However, she gasped in pain as her injured head hit the wall.
After a while, she said anxiously, “Hold on, Nina. I’ll find someone to rescue us.”
After saying that, Reina hurriedly took out her phone, turned on the flashlight, and saw her environment clearly.

The next second, however, Reina gasped in surprise
The bodies of the three suspects were three feet away from her.
They died because they were pierced through by the same steel bar.
Reina closed her eyes. When she finally calmed down, she looked around.
She saw the bodies of two colleagues. They were buried under the wall with only a small part of their bodies exposed, blood covering the ground.
Reina couldn’t bear it anymore. She burst into tears and yelled, “Jacob! Eddie!”
“Are they okay, Reina?” Nina asked.
Jacob and Eddie were hit by the wall and they were already…” Reina didn’t finish her sentence but it was enough for Nina to guess what happened.
People hit by falling walls during earthquakes were often crushed into pieces. The chances of survival in such cases were slim.

Of all the terrible translations this is by far the worst. Garbled rubbish with different languages in between. I wouldn't recommend this novel!...
