Camila playfully hooked a finger under Connor's chin, smiling. “Five days have flown by, haven’t they?”
Connor blinked slowly and replied, “Liar.”
His playful accusation made Camila laugh. She cheerfully opened an app to book him a ride. After a moment, she said, “I ordered you a luxury car; it’ll be here in five minutes.”
Once she finished, she texted Craig to come down and help with the bags.
Connor leaned in to kiss her. After a brief kiss, as he tried to deepen it, Camila gently pushed against his chest and whispered, “Craig will be here any second, behave.”
Connor gazed at Camila, his eyes filled with reluctance, murmuring, “You’re going to miss me.”
Camila nodded, her smile affirming his words.
Soon, Craig came downstairs and exchanged a handshake with Connor.
“Aren’t you going to come up for a cup of coffee?” Craig offered.
Connor glanced at Camila, hope evident in his eyes.
Camila chuckled and told Craig, “He's got things to do, the car will be here shortly.”
Craig noticed Connor's visible disappointment, chuckling to himself about how completely Camila had Connor wrapped around her finger.
“There are quite a few bags; I’ll need to make a few trips. Just wait here,” he said, picking up a suitcase and several bags of gifts, leaving Camila and Connor alone.
Connor looked at Camila, a trace of sadness flickering in his eyes. He hugged her lightly, then grumbled, “Ungrateful girl, just wants to see me off.”
Camila gently patted his back, soothingly saying, “Stop it. I’ll look for you the moment I get back, okay?”
“Alright, take care of yourself,” Connor instructed.
