The live streaming was almost over.
Thousands of people watched it and made real-time comments on it.
The only thing those rubbernecks were interested in was spilling the tea about Everly but not seeking the truth.
Everly was buried in the wave of offensive words. She felt sick.
Although the live streamer used a voice changer, it was still possible to tell that she was Sarah.
After what had happened in the restaurant, Sarah unmasked. Everly knew Sarah wouldn't just let her off. Making use of every bit of her gossip, Sarah wanted to make things difficult for her.
Everly was confused. She did not even know whether she was angry or incredulous.
Inverting right and wrong in such a way, even telling everyone by streaming a live, didn't she feel shame?
Now, the gossip about her must be spreading everywhere.
Everly was already numb to all of those endless gossips. But what she could not accept the most was those people were even scolding her brother.
Edmond and Hendrix were all innocent.
She sat in front of the computer for a long time, restlessly. Then, somehow, she played the live streaming again.
She watched the whole live streaming as if she was self-abusing.
Compared to the first time she watched it, she was much calmer.
She paused it, then took out her phone, ignoring all other missed calls, and directly called Beth.
Beth was apprehensive about her. She had called her several times before. When Everly called back, she instantly picked up. "Everly, are you okay? You know what. The woman in the live streaming is Sarah. D*mn I'm going to kill the bitch!"
When the whole world cast her aside, there were always people who never questioned her. They had been trying to protect her without any hesitation.
Everly had just been so angry that she was numb. At this moment, she felt warm in her heart.
She smiled in tears, and said, "I'm fine. It's not worth feeling upset for someone like her. By the way, did you hear anything new?"
"You're right. It is not worthy. But I still have to say if I saw her, I would definitely kill her." Beth said in a bad mood.
Suddenly, Everly faintly heard a man's voice from the other side of the phone. The voice sounded angry about what Beth just said.
Everly knew it was Lawrence.
Beth did not block the microphone, so Lawrence's voice was clear.
"Beth, you pretended to be a lady, when I first met you, right? You listen to what you just said. Don't say that again."
Beth was not listening to him. "Get away! I don't have time to talk to you right now. Lawrence! I'm a person like this. Don't be mean, or you sleep in the living room tonight."
The stern voice of Lawrence suddenly softened. "Alright, calm down. Do whatever you want, okay? Is there anything I can help with? I knew some police officers. I think they can help investigate some useful information."
"Ah, there's no need. I can do it myself."
