A Pigeon Pair: Sweetheart, Let's Get Married novel Chapter 65

Carolina walked out at this time on purpose.

For sure, she watched Maverick pulling Everly.

Things had come to this point, and Candy had been implicated in it. Carolina felt somewhat guilty. However, after seeing how Maverick was concerned about Everly, she forced herself to throw all her guilt out of her mind.

'Miley is right. Candy won't die. I'm too indecisive,' she thought.

Maverick wanted to catch up with Everly. Carolina's heart sank. She hurriedly took out her phone and dialed Maverick's number before pretending to rush over.

The moment the call was connected, she gently said, "Maverick."

Maverick stopped.

At this moment, Everly, who had just left the entrance of the hospital and was about to call a taxi, happened to hear a woman gently calling Maverick.

She couldn't help but turn around to take a look. After doing this, she blamed herself for being cheap.

However, she couldn't help do that. She turned her head and saw the woman standing beside Maverick.

That woman had a perfect figure and wore a blue coat, in which her skin looked fair and tender. Her black hair was tied up to her head. Her face was fair and clean. All in all, she was elegant.

It was the eldest young miss from the Kahl family, Carolina.

Everly felt as if her heart had been tightly pinched, making her unable to breathe.

She sneered at herself inwardly, 'I'm so useless.'

'It is not a big deal. I shouldn't have met and pestered him. I have digested it for two days. How can I deceive myself any longer?'

'Right now, the most important thing is to calm down and maintain a certain distance from him.'

Everly withdrew her gaze, but something suddenly flashed through her mind.

'Why did Maverick come to this hospital?'

'Why is Carolina also here?'

'So, Maverick's daughter is also here!'

Now that Edmond had been wronged and mistreated by the school, Everly was eager to find out the truth.

However, when she turned back, she couldn't see Maverick and Carolina at the door.

She didn't want to spin around and look for them, so she held back her anxiety and thought carefully. Even Hendrix didn't know where Cindy was. Even if she went to inquire about it now, the staff in the hospital would not say anything.

Therefore, she contacted Hendrix at once.

"I saw Maverick and Carolina in the hospital, where Edmond was staying. Their daughter should be here as well. Do you have time now? You and Maverick are good friends. Can you come? I want to settle this matter as soon as possible."

Hendrix was surprised. After a few seconds, he asked in a low voice, "Everly, who told you Carolina is the mother of Maverick's daughter?"

Everly was also taken aback.

"Isn't she that girl's mother?"

"Of course not." Hendrix answered, "I didn't know about Maverick's personal affairs before. But we can't take those gossips too seriously. However, I am certain that he did have a daughter when I deal with Edmond's matter this time. As for who that girl's mother was, no one knows, but it can't be Carolina."

Everly moved her lips, not knowing what to say.

At that moment, all kinds of emotions surged in her heart once again, but she felt exhausted.

She shouldn't be too attentive to it.

He had a daughter, and she had a son...

"Is that so? I thought ... but forget it. That's not the point. Will you come?"

Everly's tone sounded strange. Hendrix vaguely guessed something and paused for a moment before saying, "Father contacted me and said that you have been tired. Come home first. I will contact Maverick privately about Edmond and then tell you everything I know. Don't be anxious."

Everly thought for a moment and agreed.
