The news that Gideon was planning to marry Yvette spread like wildfire.
Marriage is a big deal, after all. So, Gideon arranged a meeting with Eamon Baker to bring Yvette home and discuss the wedding plans.
They'd approach Yvette's folks once they settled everything with the Baker family.
Calliope was munching on an apple while discussing some business over the phone when she received Eamon's call. Glancing at the notes on her laptop, she quickly replied to him.
"Sure, I'll be there with Silas. As Gideon's family, we have to attend!"
With that, Calliope ended the call.
She took another bite of her apple, fingers flying over the keyboard to send one last message before closing her laptop. Her expression grew thoughtful. She knew Gideon had plans to marry Yvette but hadn't expected things to progress so swiftly.
Eamon had called, worried she might be upset. After all, Gideon was supposed to marry her once. But when he bailed at the altar, she ended up marrying Silas instead. And now, here was Gideon, ready to marry someone else.
No one blamed Gideon for anything. But Calliope was sure she'd become the talk of the town.
Indeed, people had already begun to gossip.
Some claimed she had been restless and had an affair with Silas, so Gideon ditched her at the altar, allowing her to marry Silas.
Others speculated that her marriage with Silas was on the rocks and that a divorce was imminent.

That's weird, in the first chapters there was said that her bio parents and bros doteď on Caliope but then they adopted Lisette, but this chapter suddenly says otherwise. Did author forget what he wrote?...
