A Reborn Bride Pearl Emerging from Dust novel Chapter 409

The room fell silent, eyes darting between Silas and Calliope. A few curious souls also glanced at Uriah, who stood on the steps looking impossibly dashing.

“What’s Calliope up to now?” someone muttered, watching as she picked up a bottle of whiskey, suspicion clouding their gaze.

The group seated at the table in front of Calliope exchanged bewildered looks as she reached for the bottle.

“This one’s empty, right?” Calliope asked, holding up the bottle. “Mind if I borrow it?”

The people at the table nodded, still trying to process what was happening.

With determination in her stride, Calliope headed towards Gideon.

“Gideon!” she called out, and before anyone could react, she smashed the bottle over Gideon’s head. His grip on Silas loosened as shards of glass scattered everywhere, and blood trickled down his face.

Gideon, stunned by the pain, didn’t even clutch his wound. He stared at Calliope, incredulous.

“Sobered up yet? If not, I can give you another go,” Calliope said coldly, tossing the broken bottle aside.

The crowd quickly stepped back, shock and awe mingling in their expressions. Some even looked at Calliope with newfound respect.
