A Reborn Bride Pearl Emerging from Dust novel Chapter 432

Even if she managed to conceive, she'd probably have to stay in bed to keep the baby safe. This wasn't going to be an easy day.

But Calliope wasn't about to share these thoughts with Gideon or Yvette. That was their business, not hers.

"Really? Well, she's got no one to blame but herself." Silas showed little concern for Yvette's predicament. What really riled him up was how Yvette had wronged his wife.

Calliope had already given Yvette a piece of her mind, and Yvette would have to deal with the consequences of her actions. But Silas had no intention of letting Gideon off easy, either. After all, Gideon had hurt Callie countless times for Yvette's sake, and Silas was ready to serve him a slice of karma.

Calliope hadn't noticed Silas's silent brooding; her mind was elsewhere.

Back home, the two of them washed up and slipped into bed. No sooner had Calliope settled under the covers than she felt something amiss—Silas's hand was wandering again.

"No way!" She grabbed his hand to stop him.

"Come on, babe... really?" Silas uttered, looking at her with puppy eyes. "I want you!"

"Nope, I said a week off!" Calliope insisted, her lips twitching. Sure, he was a powerhouse, but even he needed to pace himself. Overdoing it could lead to problems down the road.

"A week? No! How about five days?" Silas negotiated as he gazed intently as Calliope, trying to free his hand from her grip, but Calliope held firm. The two almost started a scuffle under the covers.

"A week is a week!" she declared. "You've got to learn some self-control, or your body's going to give out sooner or later. Ever heard of sustainable living? Trust me, I'm a doctor!"

Silas countered, "You can't just throw that around to win every argument. Don’t lie to me!"
