Calliope frowned. “If needed, I’ll just go over and apologize.”
Silas shook his head. “She’s way too spoiled for that. Apologizing won’t change anything with her. I used to just let it slide, but now that I have you, I’m not going to let anyone push you around just for the sake of business.”
He grinned, a little cocky. “Don’t worry, your husband’s got this. Even if we don’t work with her family, I’ve got plenty of other people lined up. We’ll be fine!”
Silas looked at Calliope with a soft, almost boyish look on his face. He kept thinking about how she had kissed him just now, right in front of everyone. His heart felt like it was about to take flight. He was so happy.
Whenever she took the initiative, it made him feel like the luckiest guy in the world.
There was a time when he didn’t want anything except for her to be healthy and safe, right in front of him. But once he had her, he couldn’t help but want more.
When she married him, he’d never dared hope for her love. But now that she felt something for him, he found himself wanting to be the only one in her heart.
He didn’t know if he really was the only one, but she’d just kissed him in front of a crowd, practically announcing to everyone that he was hers.
He loved it. His Callie was finally showing the world how she felt. Not just in private, not just behind closed doors, but right there in front of everyone.
She was telling the world: This is my husband. He belongs to me.
He’d never been happier.
“Glad to hear it,” Calliope said, letting out a relieved breath.
“Aren’t you curious about me and this Phoebe?” Silas teased. “Aren’t you even a little jealous?”
Calliope stared at him, half annoyed, half amused. “Not really. She doesn’t exactly seem like the sharpest tool in the shed. I don’t think you’d go for someone like that.”

That's weird, in the first chapters there was said that her bio parents and bros doteď on Caliope but then they adopted Lisette, but this chapter suddenly says otherwise. Did author forget what he wrote?...
