A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo) novel Chapter 19

Chapter 19 Drowning In Alcohol

Thank you.Theo nodded, his tone gentle

Behind him, Adrian quietly absorbed everything he saw

The usually stoic and unapproachable CEO was so considerate when it came to Ms. Shaw. It was clear that if anyone was worth pleasing in the future, it

was Ms. Shaw

That evening, Benson returned home to find that dinner had already been prepared. He washed his hands, sat down, and began to eat. However, after only a few bites, he frowned and set down his fork

What kind of lemon herb baked fish is this? It’s awful! It tastes nothing like the meals that used to be delivered to the office!”

The housekeeper quickly explained, Young Mr. Gray, those meals were prepared by Ms. Shaw herself. She was always careful to remove the fish bones so you wouldn’t choke.”

Benson’s frown deepened. She had never mentioned these details to him. He had always assumed that the housekeeper prepared the meals, with Sierra simply delivering them

A sudden wave of irritation surged within him. He tugged at his tie and said, Pour me some water.”

The housekeeper hurriedly brought over a glass of warm water and placed it in front of him

When Benson saw the glass, his brows knitted together again, and his tone grew impatient. Where’s the blue cup I always use? Pour it in that cup instead.”

That blue ceramic cup was part of a matching set with Sierra’s pink one, which she had made herself during a pottery class. He had grown used to it. The housekeeper hesitated before answering carefully, Young Mr. Gray, Ms. Shaw had someone come by this afternoon to take her belongings. She took the cup with her.”

A sinking feeling took hold of Benson as he immediately went upstairs to check. Sure enough, everything that bore Sierra’s presence was gone

The matching cups, the photos they had taken together, and the claw machine toys they had won, all of it had disappeared

There was a loud crash as Benson’s fury boiled over. He swept the plates and bowls off the table, sending them shattering to the floor

Sierra, you’ve really done it now!he growled through gritted teeth. Grabbing his coat, he stormed out the door

She had taken things too far over something so trivial. He would see how long she could keep this up. He was determined to make her regret her defiance. The housekeeper sighed as she began cleaning up the mess. Ah, Young Mr. Gray’s temper is something else. Only Ms. Shaw could ever put up with it.”

At the bar, Benson drank as if the alcohol could drown everything inside him. Glass after glass disappeared as if it were water

His friend Timothy Field, sitting beside him, reached out to stop him. Benson, that’s enough. If you keep drinking like this, you’re going to ruin your health.”

Leave me alone. I’m not done yet.Benson pushed Timothy’s hand away and emptied the glass in one swift motion

Seeing the deep flush on Benson’s face, Timothy sighed heavily. Benson, I have to be honest. You really crossed the line
