Liam spoke angrily, "If Sierra had married you, your grandfather would have valued you both even more. Your status would have risen significantly, but you just had to mess it up."

He had never opposed Sierra marrying Benson, mainly because Edward held her in high regard. That alone made her far superior to any other wealthy and influential heiress.

Benson lifted his head with furrowed brows. "Dad, my relationship with Sierra was pure. I never thought about using her. Besides, I'm Grandpa's biological grandson. Are you saying that Cee is more important than me for him?"

Liam glanced at him and explained in a deep voice, "You don't understand. When Mr. Bobby was young, he once saved your grandfather's life. That was a gratitude he could never repay. Before he passed, he entrusted Sierra to your grandfather's care.

"Your grandfather watched her grow up—she might not be his real granddaughter, but the bond is just as deep. If you had married her, he would have considered you both as a unit. In time, he would have entrusted you with more of the family business."

"Grandpa would never give anything to me. Even when he invested in my small company, he refused to let me join Gray Group. The only person he truly cares about is Uncle Theo. He just wants to hand everything over to him!"

Benson's frustration was evident, and jealousy crept into his voice.

"Your grandfather was testing you to see if you had what it takes to be a businessman." Liam's tone was firm. "Siersonic has been doing well these past two years. In fact, your grandfather has even praised you for it. If you continue managing it successfully, he will eventually allow you into Gray Group."

Benson's eyes lit up momentarily before it quickly faded. "That doesn't matter to me anymore. Right now, I just want to win Cee back."

"Sierra won't forgive you so easily. And as for Theo, he clearly treats her differently."

"Uncle Theo just came back—there's no way he actually likes Cee. I don't believe it." Benson immediately rejected the idea.
