Madison's words were becoming much more inappropriate by the minute, so Sierra quickly reached out to cover her mouth.
As the two of them played around, the suit jacket fell to the ground.
Madison clicked her tongue, picked up the jacket, and said, "Mr. Gray's quite considerate, but it seems like there's something wrong with his body."
"What on earth are you saying?" Sierra asked exasperatedly after snatching the suit jacket back.
Madison crossed her arms and looked her up and down.
"You're beautiful, and you have such a good body. How can he not ask you to stay the night with such a good opportunity in front of him?"
Then, she walked up to Madison's side, bumping her shoulder playfully before asking curiously, "Is there really something wrong with him down there? Is that why he's all talk and no action? He could only watch you suffer and…"
Sierra sat on the couch and massaged her slightly sore ankle. "Stop making such wild guesses. Not every man is like that. Uncle Theo is different from them, and he respects me. He wouldn't force me to do anything bad or anything that I don't want to do."
Recalling how patient Theo had been with her, Sierra continued softly, "Our relationship is different from others. Even if there's no romantic love between us, there's still familial affection there."
Madison frowned. Something about that did not seem right.
Familial affection?
Theo's eyes were always cold and indifferent when he looked at others. However, his eyes would always soften whenever he looked at Sierra, and the affection hidden within his gaze could drown a person.
…
After finishing the competition, Sierra's shoulder injury had worsened, and she even caught a fever that night.
She only woke up groggily at 10:00 am the next day.
As she raised her arm to wash herself, she had to wince in pain due to the injury on her left shoulder.
Remembering how Theo's shoulder was also injured, she spat out the foam in her mouth and stared at herself in the mirror, lost in thought.
