After a brief hesitation, Sierra chose to compromise. She unzipped her suitcase and began unpacking.

"Where should I put my things?" she asked, keeping her head lowered.

She didn't notice the faint smile that flickered across Theo's lips.

"Wherever you like. If my things are in the way, move them however you see fit." He casually rolled up his sleeves, revealing his toned forearms.

Sierra glanced up, momentarily dazed.

His words carried an unspoken meaning—he was giving her full control, acknowledging her as the lady of the house.

She hesitated, wondering if she was overthinking it. After all… Benson had never allowed her such freedom.

Noticing the sudden change in her mood, Theo crouched down beside the bed, meeting her gaze with a serious expression.

"Sierra, legally, everything I own is half yours, including this house.

"You're the lady of this home. You can do whatever you wish.

"If there's anything you're not happy with, we can change it. I won't object."

Sierra had never cared much for material things, but his words struck a chord. A lump formed in her throat, and her eyes stung slightly.

When Theo saw the hint of tears in her eyes, a wave of panic flashed across his face—he hadn't intended to make her upset.

"Of course," he quickly added, "that doesn't apply to me."

"Hey..." Sierra chuckled, swiftly blinking away the tears before they could fall.

Seeing her smile, Theo relaxed. A flicker of awkwardness passed across his face as he stood up and turned toward the door.

"You go ahead and finish unpacking. I'll be in the study taking care of some work."

As she watched him leave, Sierra tilted her head, a quiet smile playing at her lips.

Theo was different from what she had imagined, but… she liked it.

She resumed unpacking, carefully folding her clothes and carrying them to the walk-in closet.
