Before Sierra could finish, everyone already understood what she meant. Their gazes shifted meaningfully to Theo.
They knew him well. If he didn't want to do something, no one could force him. And if anyone tried, he was capable of doing just about anything to push back.
A guy like him wouldn't just agree to a marriage because of Edward's orders.
At the end of the day, if Theo had agreed to be with Sierra, it had to be because he wanted to.
However, judging from Sierra's reaction, she probably hadn't figured that out yet. It looked like Yvette was right—Theo must have sweet-talked Sierra into it.
The private room fell into an awkward silence. Feeling uneasy, Sierra shifted slightly and turned to Theo before whispering, "Did I say something wrong?"
Theo chuckled, picked up a piece of fruit from the table, and held it to her lips. "No, they just like to overthink things."
Realizing what he was doing, Sierra quickly took the fruit, avoiding his gaze.
Watching their little exchange, Yvette and the others immediately understood. They were genuinely happy for Theo.
Only Douglas frowned and blurted out something that instantly killed the mood. "So you have a girlfriend now… What about Melody?"
Yvette's expression darkened. She looked at him unhappily. "What does that have to do with her? Mind your own business."
Unbothered, Douglas huffed, "Melody's had a crush on Theo since high school. She kept up with everything about him even after she went abroad. Just the other day, she was asking me whether he had found a girlfriend."
This time, even Daniel and Simon frowned.
"Are you out of your damn mind? Melody's just a tag-along. Theo never liked her," Daniel muttered.
