Janet knocked on the door for a long time, but Benson wouldn't come out. As a result, she had no choice but to look for Liam.
Liam, who had been with Edward accepting congratulations from the guests, ended up being dragged to a corner by her. Furrowing his brows in displeasure, he demanded, "Why aren't you upstairs making sure everything is ready? What are you doing down here?"
"Benson locked himself in his room and refused to come out, no matter what." Janet slapped her thigh, looking anxious. "The guests are already here. He won't be able to make it in time if he doesn't change into his attire soon."
Liam hadn't expected Benson to throw a tantrum at a time like this. His expression darkened as he shot her an irritated glance. "This is all thanks to you. You've spoiled him with no sense of boundaries."
Janet wasn't happy with that. She wanted to argue but didn't dare and instead muttered under her breath, "Why blame me? If anyone is to be blamed, it's Sophie. If she hadn't shown up pregnant, would Edward be forcing Benson to marry her?
"Of course he's upset. He's being forced to marry someone he doesn't love and won't be able to help with his career!"
Liam pointed a finger at her before heading upstairs with fury.
Standing outside the locked door, he said sharply, "Benson, get your ass out now. If you dare embarrass the Gray family today, your grandfather won't let you off. I won't acknowledge you as my son anymore either."
Two minutes later, the door unlocked from the inside, revealing the dejected Benson standing there.
"Hurry up and get him changed." Having no time to comfort him, Janet rushed to call for people to assist.
Benson stood there like a lifeless puppet, letting them dress him up. He stood in front of the mirror in a white suit. Staring at his reflection, he felt dazed. If only the bride were Sierra…
"Alright, let's go. It's time." The best man noticed him spacing out, checked his watch, and quickly pushed him forward.
At around 10:30 am, Sierra and Theo turned to head inside the banquet hall after noticing that most of the guests had arrived.
"Theo, Sierra, over here." Edward was dressed festively and beamed as he waved them over with affection.
