Since William could not access the company's funds, he decided to head home to think of another way.

He went to his study and opened up his safe. Once he took out all of the gold and cash he had kept inside, he had accumulated a total of two to three million dollars.

It was a lot of money, but after considering how rare the investment opportunity was, he felt like it wasn't enough.

William was hesitating whether he should borrow money from other people. However, as the president of a company, he could not find it in himself to lower his pride and ask people for money.

He also thought about asking Sierra, but he figured that Theo probably would not allow her to lend him the money.

He had even considered inviting Theo to invest in the project with him. However, he was terrified that Johnny would cut him out of the deal entirely if Theo joined in.

So, he decided to gather all of the family's savings instead.

Once he had all of the money in hand, William left quickly. Vera watched him leave with a frown.

After a moment of hesitation, she decided to call Xavier.

"Xavier, your dad just carried a big bag out of the house. Do you know what happened?"

Xavier stopped typing on his keyboard, took his phone, and stood up. "Mom, could you go into his study and take a look?"

Although confused, Vera listened and entered William's studio. Seeing the ransacked safe, she gasped and asked, "Did a thief enter our house? Why is the safe open? And where is all the money inside?"

Hearing Vera's shocked and panicked voice, Xavier sighed and explained, "Mom, you don't need to worry. Dad has probably taken all the money out."

With her son's reassurance, she quickly calmed down and went on with her day.

However, Xavier remained standing with his phone in hand. In the end, he finally contacted someone he had never contacted in a long time.

Once the call connected, he began cautiously, "Sierra, Dad says that he's found a good investment opportunity and has taken all of the family's wealth with him. Do you know about this?"

Sierra was practicing the piano when she received his call.

The smile on her face faded considerably as she answered calmly, "You don't need to worry about that. Just focus on learning how to manage the company."
