A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo) novel Chapter 387

At the underground billiards hall, Theo walked over in a long black coat, his powerful presence drawing the attention of many.

"Theo, over here!"

Melody was the first to spot him and eagerly waved him over. Seeing that he had come alone, her smile grew even brighter. "Where's Ms. Shaw? Doesn't she like playing pool?"

Douglas handed Theo a cue stick and answered casually, "Not every woman is as good at pool as you. My guess is she doesn't play."

She glanced at Theo before smiling modestly. "I do alright against most people, but I've never won against Theo. It's been a while since I played. I wonder if I still have my skills. Sierra must be way better than me."

Daniel saw the hint of smugness in her eyes and chuckled. "If she doesn't know how to play, Theo will teach her. No need for you to worry about it."

Melody's eyes flickered. She followed Theo with her cue stick in hand, admiration written all over her face. "Theo, you used to coach me back in the day. How about teaching me again?"

She wanted to use Sierra's absence to spend more time with him, relive old memories, and strengthen their bond.

However, Theo had no such plans. Without even looking at her, he replied flatly, "Douglas can teach you."

Melody frowned, completely ignoring the eager Douglas beside her. She was unhappy with the suggestion.

"We've all been busy with work these past few years and barely played. Douglas is probably the only one whose skills haven't gotten rusty, so he's the best choice to coach you," Daniel added before she could protest.

Melody's lips parted slightly, but in the end, she had no choice but to turn toward Douglas.

Unlike the beaming Douglas, her expression was stiff, and her eyes kept drifting toward Theo.

Realizing she wasn't paying attention, Douglas' enthusiastic coaching gradually faded, and eventually, he just sighed and gave up.
