A Surprising Twist of Fates (Sierra and Theo) novel Chapter 389

When he thought about what Sierra had said when she accepted his confession, Theo's heart still pounded uncontrollably. He refused to let anyone speak ill of that sincere yet fragile woman.

His eyes remained locked on Sierra, who was gently bonding with her horse, completely oblivious to the jealousy on Melody's face.

"I'll teach you." Watching her whispering to the horse with their heads pressed together, he couldn't resist any longer and stepped forward.

Sierra glanced up at him. Then, she tilted her head toward Melody, who hadn't moved. "Are you two done talking?"

He nodded and said in a magnetic voice, "There wasn't much to talk about—just business."

She frowned slightly. If they were discussing work, why had Melody been smiling so flirtatiously and standing so close? She didn't press the issue and simply nodded before continuing to walk her horse.

"Get on. I'll hold the reins for you. Don't be scared." Not understanding the look in her eyes, he took the reins and focused on teaching her.

She glanced at the staff nearby and hesitated. "Maybe you should ride. They can teach me instead."

A staff member stepped forward, ready to take over.

"Go help someone else. I'll handle this." He dismissed them without a second thought.

Seeing that, Sierra had no choice but to obey. She grabbed onto the saddle and tried to mount the horse.

After several failed attempts, frustration crept in. Just as she was about to give up, Melody trotted over on a white horse.

"Ms. Shaw, have you never ridden before?"

Sierra lowered her gaze to conceal her irritation. Her voice was crisp. "No."

Melody froze for a moment. Then, she let out a mocking laugh, her eyes full of disdain. She was just about to make a sarcastic remark when Sierra suddenly yelped.

"Ah… Theo!"
