Theo put his magazine down and said gently, "There's something I'd like to discuss with you."

Curious, Sierra put her clothes down and sat on the bed. "What is it?"

When she heard that the Jones family was holding a welcoming banquet for Melody, her first instinct was to refuse to attend.

Theo could tell that she did not want to go, so he tried to persuade her with another reason.

"The Jones family has invited a number of influential people in the business industry. You need to expand your network if you plan on managing your family business. A lot of deals are made during such events."

Most of the people who attended such banquets weren't there to celebrate Melody for returning home. They were just there to network and source more business opportunities.

Sierra understood that, so her words of refusal were caught at the edge of her throat. After giving it some thought, she made up her mind and decided to attend the banquet.

"What time is it tomorrow night?"

Theo was not the slightest bit shocked that she would agree. Instead, he smiled and said, "It's at 6:00 pm. However, we'll have to go for a fitting and dress up. So, we'll need to leave three hours in advance."
