A Touch of Sweetness (Finnick Norton and Vivian William) novel Chapter 2445

Never Late, Never Away Chapter 2445

In the private room of the restaurant, the two men sat beside each other in silence. The server was shocked when he was met with that scene and wanted to say something but decided not to after considering it for a while.

“What’s going on? Why’s there a beggar in there?”

“Who knows? Anyway, I think they’re both not as simple as they seem.”

“Really? Although it is strange how such a handsome man got to know a beggar.”

Several servers were discussing the situation in a corner outside the room, whispering to one another with complex expressions on their faces.

“You’re hungry, right? Please eat up. We can order more if there’s not enough,” Larry said.

Looking at the table full of dishes, the other man swallowed, seemingly very excited.

“Thank you, Mr. Norton. I’ll start eating then.” Subsequently, he dug into his meal.

What exactly did he go through? Why has he suddenly become like this? He looks so dirty and helpless. In the past, he was always someone highly respected and would always keep his word. What happened to him? Lost in his thoughts, Larry looked curiously at the man in front of him.

A long time later, the dishes on the table had become mostly empty. The man held his belly as he leaned back on the chair, looking comfortable and satisfied.

“Are you full? Otherwise, I can…”

“No, Mr. Norton, I’ve had enough. Thank you for this. You’re the most righteous friend I’ve ever made in this lifetime,” the man replied in a low voice.

“So, what exactly happened? Why aren’t you in the company? Shouldn’t you be in the office trying to deal with the recent accidents?” Larry asked, puzzled.

The man’s eyes instantly dulled. In reality, kinship was the most heartwarming thing in the world but was also the most hurtful.

I’d once regarded my brother as my only family in the world. However, he betrayed me and even wanted to kill me. I was so stupid! I’d forgiven whatever he previously did to me so many times. But this time, I can’t tolerate it anymore!
